It's a bit skinnier than the GM/GM, particularly in the legs and torso. But they are designed to match so it should be fine. The head is a tiny bit loose for me, so you might need to tighten it a little. Which is odd, because the neck joint is one of the parts these two actually share.
Except I find it unbelievable that they would design a humanoid robot meant to wield a weapon with a traditional designed-for-a-human-hand grip with fucking claw hands. If it had weapons that specifically fit the claw hand, that I could accept, but it still uses standard MS armaments. There’s attempting to sell us on the EFSF’s ineptitude, and then there’s just plain stupidity on Bandai’s part, akin to trying to pass off a car with square wheels as an intentional design flaw to show inexperience. It’s just dumb in real life.
IIRC I reviewed the Jigen Build Knuckles at the same time I got the kit and they worked perfectly well... some other hands were a tiny bit loose tho.
A pic I had on my phone. I still love the hell out of MG Deep Striker. Got the Gundam Converge one too for Mama and Baby Deep Striker.
Maaan, what a difference about nineteen years of building gunpla can make... Or rather, how changing building routine really... I've been able to paint stuff for a LOT longer then that but I was "lazy"... Considered gunpla more of a "refreshing new taste" to get my plamo mojo flowing... But no longer.... Now I give it the same attention plamo demands.
Some extra photos I took of my MG Gundam AGE-1 Normal today. The cockpit hatch is a bit loose and came out easily, but other than that it's a good kit.
Looks good.. I noticed the hatch problem on the F2 before I put it away again. When I get back to it, I'll tighten the hinge point with some Pledge. No pic from tonight's work, but I only did a little painting on Sazabi's skirt plates, both front and rear. Just adding more gray paint to recessed panels.
The biggest problme with that base gundam is that it's too base. You can't store his gun anywhere nor any other arms and that's a real shame because the design is great! It would have been super to customise and repaint.
It's kind of a blink and you miss it machine. I don't recall when it appeared during the last episode of a show I drank to forget about but can't. Aside from the sort of G-Reco mask (cheek lines) and big eyes, I'll give it credit for being a clever recycling job of the GM's GM, but you can easily swap the hands for those Jigen Build Knuckles and get the various weapon kits for it.. The one I got in Dunwoody is 1/4 started, and that is now partially disassembled again so I can do the repaint work I wanted.

Quick photo of last night's work. Just need to touch up the color on the rear armor panel and fix my ink lining. The gray area on the outer portion of the rear piece will probably disappear once I put the next layer over it, but it acts as a painted panel line.
I don't think it's the problem with the hinges, but the tab that tabs in the front cockpit hatch isn't quite thick enough to secure it in position when it's closed. Maybe I'll try to thicken the tab with some superglue and see if that'll work. And also, I won't recommend tighten the hinges with pledge, as those hinge parts are incredibly small and can breaks easily even with care.
Okay, you're right. I just noticed that. I know it floats a little loose on the hinge but I didn't take the interlocking tab into account.
This isn't really Gunpla related, but when surfing around online for some unusual Gundam stuffs, I happened to stumped across this interesting article: When Gundam Came to Hollywood It talks about there's actually another Live-Action Gundam movie planned by Hollywood way back in 1983 (No, it's not G-Saviour). The interlocking tab at the back of the cockpit hatch is actually what secures the hatch in place when closed, thus I will recommend to just thicken the tab a bit and see if it'll last. I tried to thicken it with some drops of superglue but it only lasts for a short time.
GASP. THE PALE RIDER! kinda sucks that the marine type has the HADES optics but the Space type has the better loadout... I need a Pale Rider but which one to get...leaning forward space type since I already got the Blue Destiny 01 with the red visor.
I built the first. Great looking kit, but it requires alot of paint if you don't want to use all those stickers. Needs a RD and MG.
