I wanted to post something back when Sam posted about this yesterday, but I couldn't think of the words to say. I pretty much just spent time with friends and family till I got some time to come back and read more of the thread. I never valued the time with my family and friends like I did yesterday and today. Situations like this give you a complete and different outlook on life, how short it is, how quickly it can be cut down, and how you should value the moments you spend with those around you. I can only imagine the pain and suffering that his family and very close friends are feeling right now, and I wish them nothing but the best as they grieve and heal during these moments. Simon (TCracker)'s passing is also going to change the atmosphere around these boards. Like others I was always happy seeing his Zoolander avatar, and excited to see what he was going to post. He was incredibly talented, and as @DualDiac84 said "anybody with the ability to make MP-5 Megatron look good in a photo has My respect". That is the kind of magic TCracker had. He could make you want to play with figures (good or bad) that you own, and appreciate them, and he certainly made me want to play with the ones I have more, and not just let them sit there and collect dust. He also inspired me to build my own light box, and start doing some figure photography of my own. He could really appreciate figures of almost every type (official, 3rd party, etc.), and that's the way I want to enjoy things too. He was truly a life changing person, and I hope and pray he has found peace now. Thanks for everything you have done, and as always... Till All Are One.
This is just devastating news. I've never had any association with TCracker but I've seen his posts and admired his photography. A loss like this is never easy, hell any loss at all for that matter is never easy. My condolences go out to his family, his friends, and to anyone here who knew him. I'm sorry for the pain you feel and the hurt that you must deal with and I pray that every day gets just a little bit easier then the day before. Till All Are One!
Indeed he was until his family shifted to Singapore. ...his differences with you and others were minor and didn’t bother him at all. Even the “banned” poster. Seriously...how on earth can anyone get into an argument with the dude? He was one of the easiest people to get along with or maybe...because we were in a similar profession. It didn’t start off with the liver...it spread to his liver and then his other organs.
Damn, condolences to his family. I've always liked his photos they brought the toys to life in an extremely cool and amazing way. Thats all I knew of him but it's such a shame to lose a member of this community. RIP
This is heart breaking. What a pleasant guy he was over the wire not to mention quite talented with his photo work. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
This is saddening, he was very much a welcomed presence on here and was all around a great guy. May he rest in peace.
Amazing photographer. Amazing posts. His photographs and presence here had a power that brought the toys and the property to life like no one else could do. I will sure miss him. Thanks for everything tcracker.
Yeah but that’s one of the main reasons why I don’t mixed much with local collectors (from my country). Those that are like TCracker are very few. By the way, his funeral is over and he has been cremated.
Np. Just for information unlike other countries, most of the dead in Singapore are cremated due to lack of land. Rest-in-peace, Simon aka TCracker.
In Msia cremation is also common nowadays. I hope he passed peacefully and am glad now he's not suffering anymore di. .
