To save cost, obviously. However, to be fair both Fall of Cybertron and Titans Return Blaster are extensive remoulds that do not actually look forced upon, so I am fine with them, plus there was no FoC Blaster in the game, so Hasbro can do pretty much do whatever they want.

As long as Soundwave and Blaster do not look alike in either mode, I don't care how they get there.

Either way these are easy reissues for Hasbro. They've done Blaster in the last few years and Skywarp is a Starscream repaint. Easy money for them.

On another note - I thought the Platinum Blaster / Perceptor set was a bargain, Blaster and three tapes and Perceptor and his accessories and I managed to snag one for $40 - got the three pack of Coneheads and Insecticons for the same price. It shows that what we're paying for is the G1 box with these reissues.

However, it does also mean that we can pretty much guarantee that we'll get the cassettes too since they've already been released. Whichever one didn't come with the Platinum Blaster (Rewind? Eject?) is an easy repaint to make up the 4 cassettes.

I'm very happy to pay for a G1 boxed sealed Blaster.

So am I. I was just pointing out that according to their previous pricing structure we're basically paying double for a box.

I haven't seen any news on this yet. So I finally stopped lurking and signed up to let everyone know. He is listed at $29.99 and supposed to be available in stores August 4th. I was able to preorder mine.

Since this is my first post, I can't put the link in, but:
    Brickseek - search number 9153259
    Walmart - search number 518556967

Would someone be so kind as to post the links for everyone in the next post?

Aside from the TR, I wish he'd get an update and not just a SW retool (maybe an MP too!)

The gray/beige plastic looks weird to me, the original was more silver wasn't it?

I’ll say it again, for $30 this is a bargain. It’s impossible to find a mint condition vintage Blaster for less than $70. I’m not going to get into the obvious difference of buying vintage vs reissues, but I don’t have a G1 Blaster and for this price, I jumped on it. How much was the Soundwave reissue? $50? I guess he came with buzzsaw, but I don’t know if that warrants an extra $20 or not. YMMV of course.

Lets hope they'll reissue the carded cassettes.

Yup, I have this one. Will be glad to get one in a vintage style box though.
