I'm assuming like most recent Dr. Wu pieces they won't be available at domestic online retailers?

 

It never ceases to amaze me how much some people hate empty spaces on toys. It\'s like they never seen that most G1-G2 toys had the same sort of empty spaces in legs, or where the fists were flipped out from... Not sure why they expect Masterpiece quality from toys a fraction of those price.

 

Ultra Magnus is 100% better. Chromia’s swords are kickass too.

I feel like it’s less of people expecting Masterpiece quality from these than it is people seeing an option to upgrade, which, for some of the really hollow ones, is a no-brainer. I’m not expecting to buy a masterpiece for $30, but I’ll gladly spend a little extra to get a little extra.

 

What’s more amazing is people will pitch a fit over the prices of figures going up but will spend the same amount in little pieces of plastic to fill gaps or for a couple guns or missiles

Definitely getting the guns for Battletrap. My biggest complaint about the POTP toy is that it doesn't have any accessories. The swords and guns for Chromia are also tempting. If I see either of these packs available for sale in the future,I'm picking these up.

 

Oh, I'm totally that person. I bitch about Has-Tak's hollowness all the time and then buy the fill upgrades pretty often. I'm probably just as much a part of the problem as the one I complain about.

 

The Back filler for Cog is totally worth it. The one for Siege Ironhide is pretty good too as it adds functionality

 

Who makes a back filler for Cog?

They are 3D printed by a guy called : knightsabreknight who makes them for himself and sometimes sells them on ebay (but slightly better quality print than the Ironhide fillers were) I can't even see the grain on some parts you do have to paint them mind - but they take the paint very well.

It's almost like quality and expectations has risen in the main lines since the 80's and people expect better than obvious visible spaces.

Because prices are going up and they keep cutting more and more material out of the figures. Of course people are going to feel jilted for paying more when they keep getting more and more empty spaces on figures.

 

My last Doctor Wu pieces were from TCP, those were the clone and mini-bot guns, have there been any other releases since?

 

YES! Dr. Wu knows that fembots need their melee weapons!

Definitely picking up the Chromia set and might try the others too if they're decently priced.

 

Good to know. I guess I'll be paying more attention to Siege now.
