@SuperGrimlock Pla plate/plastic plate is just the Japanese vernacular for styrene plastic sheets like Autobot Burnout said. Its usually what you see on the tin if the maker were Tamiya/Wave/etc. Domestically, you'd find them in hobby/craft stores by Evergreen or Plastruct. The only difference is one is measured in metric and the other is imperial.
B-Packs is just a weapon set, no MS. He's talking about the actual models needed to create the "final form."
Oh that's cool. I know about the whole thing of using transparent colors over a silver base coat but as a lacquer? Awesome. Does it come in green or yellow also? Those are the colors I'd love to use like that. Good point on the eyes. I like the look of shiny eyes too. Moon Gundam comes with a green and clear eye price so I think I'll paint up the clear one with a shiny silver and got it with trans-green paint. Yup, P-Bandai it is. A dirty move on Bandai's part to put the VN/BS equipment as exclusives but that's just the game I suppose. I remember getting MG Unicorn for my birthday a few years back and ended up ultimately disappointed. But the RGs kick ass. I have all the regular retail RG guys. FA Unicorn looks fantastic and Banshee was always my favorite between the two.
Yellow, Blue, Green, you name it, they made it! Scalehobbyist.com: Model airplanes, ships, military vehicles and modeling supplies
Seen a bunch of customs using the hg gm/gm to make an RX-78-2. It looks like they are using the hg O gundam. I am wondering is that the best combo? Or would the Revive or the 30th version be better? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Might have to get another Guncannon test type so I can display two modes at the same time. Dual cannon arms will be nice too.
You had me at "yellow" Thanks man! Yeah! this is actually a pretty cool kit. I wasn't too interested in the grey one but I got one of the yellow ones also. I too need to get a second one so I can have "1A."
Can you fit a standard HGUC hand into the socket for the claw? I've always wanted that kit but the claw hand is just too stupid.
Another shot of Moon Gundam...the pose on the box. It's such a GODDAMN AWESOME kit. Hell yeah you can my dude!
....Oh shit you said HGUC. I used one of the Origin Zaku II hands...I'm sure the ball is about the same size.
Man, I need to get an Origin Guncannon at some point. An Origin Guntank too, I always liked that design.
I'm home from my trip to the North, surprisingly smoother than the venture heading there... glad I found the 285 West route, skipped McDonough and the serpentine tangle through the heart of Atlanta... Unpacked the kits I picked up and put them away for now, save for Piccolo. So... where was I? Before I left town, I lowered the stanchion and had Sazabi standing on the base plate.. Too tired to go back to painting the red trim I started and just went about clipping the leg armor from the runners and assembled the front skirt armor. The CasvalDaikun mark applied years ago, same as the Red Comet down on the lower center section. I started adding more gray paint, and see where I want to add more.
So opened a Kotobukiya railgun weapon kit - one of the parts warped right out of the package. Looks like it was pulled from the mold while still warm, no stress marks. Bent the part by hand. Of course have a big white stress mark on the mecha gray styrene. Guess it's time to test out that heat-to-fix-stress-marks idea. Heatgun on low. Few inches away from the part. Multiple passes over the part (left to right, right to left. DO NOT STAY IN ONE SPOT). Stress mark gone, but part un-bent itself to the previous warped state. Apply heat a little longer, press part with flat end of my metal tweezers. Better, but not quite. Apply heat a little longer still - CRAP TOO LONG. Part drooped a bit on that side. Got it bent back close-enough, but details on that side are a bit softer now. Luckily it's the barrel block that I wasn't planning on using anyhow. So all in all, yes, a heat gun on low will fix stress marks. But it is *ridiculously* easy to ruin a part with it, too.
What's even better is that because the yellow test types are just part variations on the early type, you'll have a spare set of weapons for both. Meaning you can mix-and-match with the Early type, since I would figure one of the ill-fated Iron Cavalry would have been longer range than just short cannons and useless spray missiles. The claw hand being stupid is kind of the point, though, since the early gun cannons are litterally so early in EFSF MS development, right above the Guntank, that they are straight up designated as mobile tanks instead of suits - melee combat or straight up hand manipulation was a key downfall of the IC against three Zaku Is and a Bugu. I have the 102 unit at home, I can test it after work in a few hours with the trigger hand from the GM Striker. No, since the Neon Gundam is a variation of the GM/GM.
