This a huge loss to the community. TCracker was often one of the most positive and friendliest members who posted here. Just seeing his avatar alone was a joy because you knew there was some sort of substance coming in that message to you. He will be missed.
I’ve ‘liked’ so many posts here. And I fucking hate all of them. I liked TCracker. We had each other’s ears often. I’m a chatty guy. I talk with TF people on FB daily just about nothing and everything in between, just because I sincerely enjoy a ‘back and forth’ with someone who can hold an entertaining conversation. And he and I really did have a ton of fun talking about my new baby and his daughters. We enjoyed talking about lightboxes and how he was rubbing elbows with some 3P designers. I LOVED his stories about having old friends in the industry sending him pics of the new TT Tigatron CG MP concept and Hoist Prototype pics. I am not a source for news. TC was my source. And because I had actually befriended him he showed me a few pics and told me about what he saw. Since he’s passed I no longer want to hold on to any sort of ‘newsie’ rep that maybe a handful of people associated me with. TC was my source. For all of my news and pics and hints at upcoming releases. I didn’t only lose an interesting person to talk to. I also lost an actual source into what almost none of you have. That’s not meant to sound cold. Or like I’m prioritizing info over life. But damn. He was literally a major facet in my #1 hobby and a massive influence in my life. I never really cared for his pics. Not that they weren’t good but it just wasn’t what I liked him for. I admittedly haven’t lost many people that I truly care about. And I know it’s hard to really care about someone that I met on the internet. I’m actually quite stingy with the word ‘friend’ but I lost a friend this morning. Bye TC. I’m jealous of you having THE ENTIRE TRANSFORMERS LINE EVER MADE in MP form in heaven!!! How’s that MP Devastator? Shit!! I’m jealous buddy
Rest in peace Simon. Such a loss to our community. Our love and prayers are with your family and our community.
Very sad to see this news today. Tcracker increased my interest in the hobby exponentially and this hobby has been a nice form of escapism in my dark hours. I can’t thank him enough for that and bringing me into contact with you guys on here in this beautiful community. I’m sure going to miss his pictures and my heart is somewhat broken he won’t get to hold MP44 which I know was one of his desires RIP you great man!
My heart goes out to his friends and families who've lost someone most dear to them. At last, he is one with the matrix, may he rest in peace, till all are one!
You're welcome. I'm glad I had the honor of writing a few things. Glad they landed well He was not, but as @HolyCulture points out, he did have some contacts. I think this is sound advice. Be good, dudes! We can not. We've had such things go south, and as a result, we've had to completely discontinue. I'd recommend maybe patron and using social media to promote. You can always promote such in your signature here as well.
Yeah, I never met him and seali too but they were very pleasant... ...TCracker on the other hand, felt like a gut punch as I knew him personally. He was really passionate about toys (hardly any scalping) and he really enjoyed photographing his collection...the kicker was some board members treated this as a competition when he didn’t... True, he was really a pleasant guy and was really crazy for toys (especially TFs and Macross (but he was cutting down a lot). The only folks that drove him “nuts” were posters from our country (Singapore) and board members who were treated photography as “competition”. He was really one of those dudes. We could go from toy shops and look at the newer releases and discuss about MP and 3P stuff. Not really an insider but because he was popular among the local (Singapore) scene, he got inside info. Some of these shop owners got some serious contacts... Yeah, he hardly or never started any arguments...one of the few times he got angry was with a troll from Singapore...who was eventually (banned). But it wasn’t brought up on the boards, and the fella was wary of Simon... Yeah...he was really suffering in the last few days...yet he could treat everything like it was normal.
Damn I remember first learning of his battle in a comment he posted on here just recently, after admiring his photography for years. What a punch in the gut. Till all are one, man.
I only had a handful interactions with him over the years but his passion for Transformers, photography, and this community was obvious. Condolences to his friends, family, and loved ones. Life is short, enjoy it and be excellent to each other.
