It's kind of funny. Zoomed in, it looks pretty good, but zoomed out looks wrong. I guess my nostalgia factor is kicking in with the whole picture in mind. It's still a nifty mod, and I did wonder what it looked like, so thanks for answering that for me.
Yeah, I think the head wings (in black) look better. The super-mode head is pretty powerful looking, but the wings (again, in black) just gave it a nice, bigger appearance.
I would have too, but there's not a lot of heads with that big of a balljoint... The combiner head from CW Optimus is the same size ballpoint, but it's so far up in the head I think it would look too pushed down... Maybe, bit I actually think I'll just clean up what's there... Thank! See, for me I always liked the old version too, but I hated the head wings back even back then! Good luck! Ya, in black they were ok(I guess), but just being blue and one piece with the rest of the head was week and sad
If you want to get rid of those white spots, I can recommend using a butane lighter, the gas kind with the super-hot blue flame. If you quickly brush the flame over the white spots, it can minimize them. "Flame polishing" is how people cut plexiglass get a nice shiny edge.
Thank! I've been trying to figure out a good way to do that... I've also heard a hair dryer works too... I'll give it a try!
u know what? i was planning to do the same with mine....but it looks kinda weird now without those big "elephant ears" something is off....maybe need a set of new antenna to streamline it with that head sculpt...
Is it me or does anyone else dislike the shrinky dink version of cybertron Optimus Prime? I would have thought they'd use the orignal mold and add more details. His trailer doesn't even have proper rolling wheels...
Maybe the snd primo mortis or primo vitalis head may do it for you? A bit expensive, but just suggesting
