Damn. I never got to meet or talk to the man, but I ogled his photos from afar on many occasions, living vicariously through them, enjoying the stuff I could not get. Rest in piece.

I'm reminded of a quote that goes something like "Do not be sad at his passing, but be joyful that he was here and that we got to be with him."

Aw, man, this is very sad news. TCracker was a good guy and contributed so much to this place, through his amazing photos and in many other ways.

You will be greatly missed, TC. Thanks for everything.

RIP. I lived in Singapore once although I never got to meet the man. I mean, he sounded as if he was at most 40 plus years old i.e. pretty young.

He was one of the reasons I started getting into collecting MPs. I’m gonna miss him and his photos greatly.

When he said he had cancer back in March, I was really hoping he'd pull through, it's saddening to hear he didn't today. He was easily one of the best toy photographers in this fandom and I offer many condolences to his family. Rest in peace Simon, we all miss you. :(

i don’t frequent the appreciation threads so i wasn’t aware of his condition, but i always enjoyed his pictures in other threads throughout the years. i also enjoyed his riddles (even if they’re agonizing!) in the mp speculation thread way back in the days, and it was that thread that really got me vested in this site and what we had to look forward to when it came to the mp line - imo he made that thread what it is. his online persona was always friendly and insightful, and i’m sure that’s a reflection of how he was in person.

i hope this thread makes its way to his family so they know the joy he left on others.

rest in peace simon, you will be missed.

Was just going to check the forum quickly and then I read this bad news... I will miss his kindness on these boards, his beautiful photos, really bringing TFs to life... How sad that he will not experience the new Optimus Prime... Heartbroken... Such a friendly guy... You will be missed TC. :(

An incredible photographer and storyteller, and by many accounts, a lovely human being.

He had such an eye for detail, and would be the first (and usually only) one to criticise his own contributions from time to time, but even with his exacting standards and exceptional skill, I always admired how he still took the time to positively acknowledge (and engage with) the contributions of others.

It’s not easy sharing pics at times, given the talent we have around here, but getting a simple ‘like’ from someone like TCracker was always appreciated.

He showed a love for the community, and the franchise, that I will sorely miss.

How utterly heartbreaking. I had a few interactions with Simon and always found him to be a very warm, friendly, decent guy. As amazing as his photgraphy was (and it really was amazing!) it's those qualities as a person that I'll remember him for. Thoughts with his family. I hope the outpouring of love that he's got on here and Twitter provides them with some sort of comfort. Rest in peace Simon.
