Actually,  I\'ve already got G1 Blaster with Steeljaw, Ramhorn and Eject, also with Perceptor as platinum exclusive back in 2015.

Those were more years. Would be like all of Siege dropping at one time. I forget the case assortments on things like the cars (close guestimates and recall knowledge are somewhere in one of the threads), but most of them seemed to be available throughout the year. First year of pretenders did have some early and late releases. While things like scramble city did come in solid cases with a few sets of the limbs for individual bots, They all seemed to be on the pegs at once for whatever was released that year. One thing that made it a little more diverse was all of the different pricepoints, box sizes and multiple gimmicks. It was easy to cram various minibots on one peg, but when you got to the boxed items, many of them were single size and pricepoint, or lumped more to the checklists.

Edit: I guess the best analogy in today's toy world is what the Lego aisle looks like, but with pegs as well for carded figures.

Maybe start voting for the one that you don’t want?

Why don't they price them reasonably if they want them to sell very well. I still can't find warpath anywhere.

Neat. I don't have a G1 Blaster yet (but I do have his four main cassettes: Steeljaw, Ramhorn, Eject, and Rewind from the Encore pack) so this works out for me even if I know that the price will be ridiculous.

Wasn’t Blaster in a complete pack with his minions shelf warming just a few years back at the discount stores?

I just started collecting yesterday, so I demand Siege and Studio Series be reissued over anything the haturz want. Also, Ollies charging a dollar for Equestria Girls is highway robbery so I demand reissues of those too.

Not all of his minions, though. A lot of us are still waiting for Rewind to be reissued again. That poor bot always gets the shaft, for some reason, whenever Blaster gets reissued.

Give it time and eventually it might get Inferno & Trailbreaker. I'd think if there are any more waves of Minibots, Cliffjumper is a good bet. Shockwave...he's a gun so I'd count him out. Doesn't matter if he is a space lasergun. They probably couldn't even pull off the 'submarine' mode trick with his G1 toy.

Besides, he'd look silly in the box.

Thank you! I could not remember if I picked up Blaster recently, but could swear I did...

Transformers Platinum Edition Autobot Intel Ops - Perceptor & Blaster

I guess I can skip this release. Which is fine, as the Walmart G1s have been a total @$$ pain to track. :banghead:  Devy was so short-packed, I did not see him even ONCE.

Just call these online exclusives and save me the gas. But don't think ordering online solves everything: Walmart has been upping prices on G1 reissues, if they're in-demand.  It's just a pain when the big box retailers get in on the scalping scene...

Compounded by poor planning: G1 Rodimus/Hot Rod will likely stay in-stock for a good 1-2 years (if not longer), while other G1 reissues will remain scalper-only. It's sad because a lot of us are invested in this subline, and not only are n00bs priced out (generally), but the distribution problems all but ensure this line will do mediocre-to-fail.

The thing about Shockwave that I don't get?

Hasbro sells Nerf guns just one aisle over. Some of these guns shoot actual foam rounds.

So kids playing war games with foam darts is harmless... but a transforming robot gun is a sign of a seriously disturbed mind? :sly:  This is a sad relic of old news, but Shockwave is designed in such a way as to fully conform with current toy laws without any design changes to the original toy. So... I'm just confused. :p

Shockwave's colors might also play into it. He's generally a dark color compared to the super bright Nerf guns. Darker colors would make him harder to tell he is a toy, especially if the person holding him isn't in bright light. Brightly colored Nerf guns are more easily seen for what they are.

After seeing how this vote was going, I started checking around for any decent prices on an Encore #11 Skywarp/Thundercracker set. One MISB set I had seen for US$150 the other day suddenly dropped to $125 today, so I decided to snag it a few minutes ago. Seeing how much it and the individual reissues are going for, it was worth it to save the aggravation. This way I don't have to deal with following frustrations:

    1) The stupid safety missiles from the Commemorative reissues. I think that's what killed my interest in those versions, and Vintage Starscream got those elongated weapons already
    2) Not knowing when Walmart will eventually get Skywarp
    3) Not knowing _if_ Walmart will get Thundercracker (although one would hope it would be a given after Skywarp emerges)
    4) Not being able to trust Walmart to ship something without banging it up. They slightly creased the flap on my Starscream, but others have reported getting them in worse condition. Plus there are no Walmarts by me in NYC to eyeball the items in person to pick a good box.

It would be nice if Hasbro would guarantee that both figures in a vote would be made, saying that the winner would just come out first, but I know they don't want to make those kind of guarantees if they can avoid it, especially if sales aren't what they hoped for.

It would also be nice if Tru Kids stores started popping up so that Walmart is no longer responsible for such releases. It's already a shame these aren't on Hasbro Pulse. Even so, I know that does't much help non-North American customers who are trying to get these as it is.

It'd be interesting to see how Shockwave would look in a color scheme like Platinum Astrotrain's. Then again, I think it would clash with the retro packaging. :)

He would be required to have the blaze orange barrel tip regardless of what other changes they made to his color scheme.

I get that Hasbro is going for that low-hanging fruit with the molds they've pulled out of storage already in the last 5-10 years, so they're just trying to milk those molds again with another pass through all of those characters... but I think anyone who wanted a Blaster got the Encore version or one of the other re-issues in recent years.

I want to see them get adventurous and re-issue some crazy molds from other eras.
I know some of the molds might have been destroyed, but let's get a G1 Springer or some Headmasters,
or even some Dinobots which haven't gotten much love in recent years.

I've yet to get a reissue Blaster personally though I want one (ironically I have both versions of Twincast and SG Blaster). But I do agree that this is one of the more pointless reissues and there were more interesting options to go for. If by chance they do him with a double tape deck door I'd actually be interested but that's unlikely.
