I remember seeing some prototype pics by a third party company for these to be added to G1 Ironhide and Ratchet that make them bulkier and more G1 cartoon-accurate several months ago but haven't seen anything since. Has there been any update regarding their status?
You're not referring to these?? GT-01I & GT-01R Pair of Head & Arms Sets - Third Party Transforming Toys & Accessories Gear 4 Toys If not then I'm not aware of any other add on parts for G1 Ironhide and Ratchet, except for the head pieces that were also made by another 3rd party company.
They’re good, works great with mine, though I’m actually trying to sell it. My classics have expanded to take up all of my shelf space, which means my G1 stuff is in boxes, so I can either sell them, or have a massive pile of boxes stacked up in a spare bedroom. Oh, the one I have is the Encore, not the Gear 4 Toys one.
I bought them. They're alright, nothing special and not particularly stable since they don't really lock in per se. They look alright just sitting on a display shelf though.
