Same one as everyone else's; the Big Powered TR retooled version. His waist just isn't loose on mine. Although it does have other problems like Sonic Bomber having loose legs and Roadfire's head fitting kind of loosely in the slot.

How bad is the looseness on everyone else's? Like does it shift around a lot or just a tiny bit?

The mushroom peg swivel along the "spine" is loose enough to slide apart without difficulty. It's part of why the waist is wobbly in robot mode.

Basically, we've got the upper and lower sections of a Leader class figure held together by a sort of ball joint. That's a pretty fragile connection compared to the solid chunks of plastic used on Overlord and Black Shadow that we're more accustomed to.

The chain/connection on my Dai Atlas actually does work fine. What I refer to as the 'looseness' - the way the upper torso has a tendency to turn, or rock back and forth slightly, is due to the nature of the design itself.

Though it does offer a slight waist swivel, I believe many (like myself) would prefer a more robust way of joining both parts of Dai Atlas's robot mode together.

Actually I prefer the jet and tank to be separate as well, but I'd rather used some sort of 3P kit than risk destroying my Dai Atlas due to my current level of customisation skills.

You know I was so busy being disappointed in the legs, that I didn't take a closer look at the waist chain (also I didn't want to accidentally break something fragile). I guess someone may come up with a more solid replacement for it.

I suppose Dai Atlas's hollow legs sort of magnified my disappointment in the other issues I had with the figure (the waist, the Deluxe face, etc).

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. I did post (and then deleted) a really bad photoshopped pic of an idea for an add-on part I had, earlier, though (I was trying to think of something that wouldn't require taking Dai Atlas apart). It would need to be made of a pretty strong plastic due to the thinness of some of the sections.

so when you pick up your Dai Atlas by its upper torso / chest and move it back and forth, the lower body doesnt flop around?

You want to know what's funny? My first answer is no because I shook him and nothing moved at all. Then I transformed him and then turned him back into robot and now his waist is a tad wiggly. I have no idea what I did to get him to have a tight waist. I'm going to try and replicate it again.

Dont have big powered, but if i did id definitely pick up these parts. It's a minor quibble, but this solves that quibble so perfectly that it feels like a must-buy add on

I am not too impressed with Big Powered it feels rushed in design process and some parts are not designed right at all, and there is tons of dimpling. I have noticed in some of the retooled parts are a mess of editing with raised areas that are just a hair off from the surrounding areas sorta like a sticker was placed down first then was painted over, it\'s not detaling just more like they went to flatten a area and was off. Not sure what is going on but I will be questioning my next exclusive before pauying that high pricetag for LG-EX. As for these add on parts it's sad they are so so so needed for this figure and ido love how simple they are.

Yes, I'll be buying this :D

I understand why Takara did away with the seperate jet and tank modes when they used this mold for Dai Atlas, but I would have been happier with a drill get, and a drill tank mode. I like how this kit makes it look like Cybertron Defense Scattershot.

Going to hold off to see if the leg fillers that become ramps for base mode become widely available.
