I was referring to the larger reissues that the voting has been on.
Minibots only have about 10 options so theres only a few they could do anyway

How about a toy that hasn't been re-released?

I\'d rather have a G1 reissue of Sky Lynx. Anyone else?

Hey, how about some Headmaster reissues? TOMY TAKARA has not even reissued those. What's the deal?

We got him in Takara's Encore line so it's possible, but despite having access to the mold there's a bit of doubt that Hasbro has any intention of ever releasing the big guys in this line. Having him, Omega Supreme, or even Fort Max in retro style packaging would be cool to see on store shelves, though.

This kind of stupid moronic bullshit that totally kills my interest in the franchise. All they do is reissue the same shit over & over again when they really need to be reissuing Generations Metroplex.

@ Moonminer.  I hope they would reissue those but have little chance of that.  BUT they did reissue two of the Japanese dino cassettes with the Studio Series Bumblebee I luv the 80\'s special pack.  Never thought I would ever see those.

Thet would never release them in the Walmart line of reissues. You have to be VERY into Transformers to even know those characters exist. Pretty much guarantee they would shelf rot once the hardcore fans got there since most people would have no idea who they are. The best hope for them is if Japan sees how popular this line is and starts their own reissue line.

The Walmart line will most likely be characters that many more people know. Characters who were in the first few years of the line when it was the most popular & characters that were in the TV show.

Well I think Skywarp and Thundercracker are going to happen regardless of vote results.....Prime, min-bots, Soundwave, cassettes, all were revealed after the first wave but before the first fan vote. They are obviously going with ones the molds are ready to use......so the success of these will likely determine the future of releases for molds not used recently or since original release. The likelihood of Blitzwing is high as is Insecticons and Perceptor being done in this line.....Blaster winning I feel means they will release two 2 packs of all his minions from 1986. The Bruticus molds were used in Encore line so it is a possibility as well. I have to agree that Omega and Sky Lynx are LONG shots even though they had Encore releases. Hound is my best guess for a carbot (if they do them) to be released since he was never released in previous US reissue lines (and by that count also Trailbreaker, Ironhide and Ratchet)....that said I doubt we will see other carbots besides Jazz or Prowl....Hot Rod pretty much killed that. Bruticus is more likely since Devy sold well. Jets are likely since Screamer sold well. Molds that never got reissues like Mirage, Wheeljack are lost since G2 when Mirage was planned for release. Sunstreaker interestingly was listed as an upcoming release in the Commemorative Series XI that never came out that was supposed to have Trailbreaker and Ironhide so his mold may yet exist.

Wow...I wouldn't have minded both to be honest, since I have Starscream and all. But hey, Blaster is not a bad choice in my opinion. I had one as a Christmas gift so long ago. If I see it, I'm gonna buy it :D

Hate to say it but give up on Megatron even in G2 color palette....current views on toy guns (and lack of parents teaching kids not to be stupid an not aim them at cops) this is a definite not going to happen in US....only as a TakaraTomy release in Japan. Shockwave mold supposedly exists and TakaraTomy bought the company that owned/created the mold but again only would see release in Japan (ridiculous I know). Galvatron is possible with the elimination of any mention of his handheld mode. The min-bots continue to sell well so I think Cliffy and some of the others are in the pipeline. With the renewed interest in reissues this may spur TakaraTomy and Hasbro to invest in recreating a couple molds that were lost but I am not holding my breath....though Mirage, Wheeljack and Sunstreaker would all easily recoup there investments two fold since they are the only carbots to not see reissue since European Classic gold box versions from early 90s......they are LONG overdue. Grimlock is a likely candidate for recasting molds for but the other Dinos I doubt it.

A G2 Megatron reissue in G2 packaging would be pretty cool, especially if they fix the flap for his head and fix the weirdly colored Decepticon symbol stickers.

Just echoing that I'd love to see something else. I really, really wish Hasbro/Takara would put the time into re-molding or whatever they have to do the original dinobots. I know they lost the molds, but with thousands of examples at their fingertips, they could re-make them. The G1 Dinobots would be amazing sellers, if they didn't keep it limited, they would outsell pretty much every re-release in the last few years. It would totally be worth cost and effort as far as any other figure they lost the molds to.

It would be interesting if they decided the next MASTERPIECE via voting.

from the original voting part of this thread... Blaster. I really would love to have fresh G1 Headmasters and Target masters, but i'm sure they would never get that far... would have to get past the OG cast first, like Ironhide, Ratchet, Skids, and all before they even touch the Rodimus Price secondary tier guys.

I dont remember there being waves in G1.  You\'d go to the store and see the whole catalog on the shelf.
I guess thats why those G1 Christmases were so epic.  You got a pile of 1984 , instead of a  whatever wave is out.

Yup, it was pretty damn magical. I can still picture the layouts of multiple stores in my area, and it was quite a site. My family couldn't afford a ton of stuff, but when I did get a treat (either christmas or birthday), it was generally exactly what I asked or because there would be damn near an entire side of an aisle full of figures. I think the only time period that compares is when we were rolling with Animated, Universe, and a movie line all at once, and some of the waves were either bigger, or all hitting at the same time. Character selection and inventory.

Course now I just buy online.

hmmmm. in my experience, there certainly were waves. First wave were the original guys... second wave was Rodimus, Hotrod, the headmasters, target masters, Computron, Abominus and those guys. third wave slowly started going downhill... the second gen target masters, (came with 2 guns and were smaller like Quake), the micromasters... i'm sorry for the lack of details, its been so long since i've spoken Transformers.
