This is one of the classic ones and you can definitely see the deeper rear rim

 

I figured it was implied we were taking about the version that Breakdown/Sideswipe are based on, which is also the version that FT is using:

 

Well even in your pic you can see the rear is still more concave than the front. It’s subtle at that angle but still there

Knowledge is power for speedily going through transformation but unfortunately I've not found a way for him to not explode into a hot mess. I always need the table to brace him on.

 

Yeah it seems to suit him more!

Oh man I’m just looking over the pictures of Spoiler again! Boy he looks great! He might be right up there as one of the best looking figures for a while. I hope the colours aren’t too far off what they have shown us, I suspect the blue won’t look quite that deep or metallic.

I’m fully preordered on him, just got to wait... and speculate of which of the combiner sections he will ship with... foot and shin, maybe the thigh? I would have thought the thigh and crotch would ship as one piece to give better sturdyness...

 

Yeah, I use my couch. I just turned him into a truck for the 3rd time, and the transformation is really growing on me. I haven't experienced frustration since that first time. He does explode, but it doesn't feel unmanageable to me. IMO, this nails the puzzle element of Transformers toys in a really satisfying way. This is the most fun I've had transforming an MP in years, maybe the most fun I've had with an FT figure period, and I own a good chunk of their stuff.

 

I've now found time to transform Roadking to truck mode for the second time. That one was much easier than before, really fluent when you know what you need to do / watch out for.

One thing I realized is that all the places the trailer back door clips in (sides, top) have white stress marks. The plastic for the trailer (that makes up Roadkings backpack) is probably just too thin / the fit is too tight.
Do others have found a good solution for this? I am kind of nervous that I will break something in the future.

Superion getting the jump on Motormaster

 

I think Phoenix is fun to transform. I get a similar vibe transforming Roadking.

Phoenix does have a good transformation, although I think I prefer Roadking's. That might just be new toy excitement, though. I guess I'll have to revisit Phoenix!

I think he's being facetious about ppl saying the most stable and solid combiner yet is 'floppy'.
