Eh, and I just caved in and finally bought the MP Star Saber, especially since I finally did some look arounds and found out that Saber himself is almost Voyager size and would fit in height wise with Potp Orion Pax. If this guy's Saber matches better, I'm going to be kicking myself. Though judging by the size, he might actually be taller, so I guess I won't be wallowing in regret so much? But man, that Star Saber does look better.

Except 3P really blew up doing combiners, which absolutely "filled a gap" before CW/UW came along.

I will 100% get this. This looks awesome, I just wish it had the wings like the flame toys version.

3P initially started as upgrade kits, and first blew up with Defender, Fansproject's Springer. Also, while they (almost) always filled a gap, he was saying the figure didn't need to fill a gap to be valid or exist without question, that whole "who is this for, there's already an MP" mentality. It's for people who want a cool looking toy, need there be a better reason?

    Why not deathsaurus?
Some people I just won’t understand. Anyway, carry on.
What’s Obari? Apart from that I love it.

It’s for people that just want something cool.

What gap does perfect effect revive prime fill?
What about the many 3p beast wars figures that are moving scaled but completely inaccurate to the show designs?

Not everything needs to fills a gap, sometimes looking cool is all a figure needs to do
    This exactly

Masami Obari is animator and director with a very distinct style. A legend amongst Mecha fans.
So finally seeing the Brave step- brother get some kind of Obari love, albeit in a very roundabout way, is rather nice.

Masami Obari is a super influential and talented animator, he pioneered how alot of robots are stylized today and even worked on the G1 cartoon. Munetaka Abe who animated on alot of the TF animes worked under him.
I helped with his page so please check it out!

I like MP Star Saber but it's not all perfect. Can't hold his sword correctly, side skirts don't move for more outward hip motion, and the ankle tilt is barely usable. On top of that Star Saber does have a really stylized appearances in the Victory cartoon itself, and this toy reflects that

Lol I love both but there's definitely barely enough anime stylized stuff
