    Never expect transformation from any third-party figures that are officially-licensed. At least in the U.S., due to Hasbro's stipulations for the licenses.

    I really like this. I'm not sure I need another Star Saber in my collection but this does look fantastic.

    I was taking the wait-and-see approach for PX' Star Saber, but so far I'm liking what I'm seeing. This may be the one I go with.

    Between this, PX, and the eventual MMC version (You know they'll trade it eventually), this may be the start of the Star Saber (And maybe Victory Leo/Saber) wars.

    That's not Flame Toys' fault though. Hastak doesn't allow licensees to produce transforming products.

    The combiners and characters post headmasters were all like half sized though. As can be seen by the size of masterpiece starsaber.

    huh ? Headmasters were all mostly the same height as optimus if you go by documented official height/ scale , if anything starsaber was done undersized . Which is why some choose to call it chug unofficially , same situation as mp-08.

    Which is why I said POST headmasters (as in masterforce, victory, etc). A couple of the carbots (specifically Wheeljack in several episodes of victory) showed up, and all of the characters save someone large like deathsaurus were their height or shorter. Saber (the inner robot for starsaber) is depicted in the shows the same height as a carbot, same goes for ginrai.

    Ah, brick as in, well, chunky boi. Accurate, but blocky. Star Saber is one of those that made me wonder "Is this really Transformers or some other generic super robot like Fighbird in disguise?"

    Yes, give me more stylistic shit. Angles, overly detailed surfaces, sharp edges, exaggerated proportions, I love it. Hate the simplified Sunbow crap
