Brought me in at all haha. Armada Megatron was my first ever TF. Judging the fists in his heels, I'll guarantee the trailer and Sparkplug (won't expect more than a Micromaster repaint, but hopeful for more). Overload I'd wager would be a sequel piece if this sells well enough

 

While I have everyone's attention, anyone have any idea when we'll next hear about this guy? What big events are coming up for Takara? I know that Shizuoka show just passed, what's next?

 

I think a trailer will come with him since he has his super mode. do his feet have some kind of peg or hole a trailer can go into? as for sparkplug they could make a new mold or reuse the old one. is there any mini-con ports on him?

 

There's something on his butt-plate (for lack of a better term) that looks like it has some kind of port cut-out, perhaps for a trailer hitch. The gun looks to have minicon ports on the sides, right above the handle

 

the gun defentily has mini-con ports on its sides where I expect them to be. the original toy has its ports on the super mode shoulders/assplate I could not find a picture of the back of his feet where the trailer hitch was originally or get a good shot of the super mode shoulders/assplate to see if the pegs are still there.

 

No word on the back for any ports, no, but I bring up the cut-out as a potential trailer hitch, as close to the cab as it may be.

I certainly hope we see more by summer's end. It's a shame that Star Convoy has had more time in the spotlight after this, especially given he's just a retool of an, in my opinion, poor Prime figure. The Evolution gimmick didn't help the G1 and it won't do any favors for Star, it's the wrong kind of truck and the G1 Prime core doesn't look all that great either.

 

As someone whose first exposure to Transformers was Armada, the wait for an update on this toy is TOO excruciating.  

 

yep being able to take a closer look it does look like a hole for a trailer to plug into.

 

See the thing is on the original figure the hitch is on the lower leg. The butt flap had a peg for a Mini-Con, at least on the Bendy mold.

Yeah, there were ports on both halves on the Super-Con, they were the tops of the shoulders in bot mode. But it doesn't look like there's any peg there, just a cut out to accept a peg, seemingly.

 

Putting a hole on the butt flap makes sense. If it were on the legs, it would cause some sort of issue with the super mode arms. Also, with a trailer, you don't have to worry about needing a tight connection.

 

Only reason I question it is how close it is to the cab. Wouldn't be a whole lot of room to swing around

 

Can't wait to have more news on this figure! It would be wonderful if they'd also make a new version of Energon Rodimus.

 

Just give us a couple years of UT Generations, I'd be set. Make the Mini-Con gimmicks manual or something to spare articulation

 

id love it if they made a studio series like line for the UT with the figures being in scale relatively, and having releases from all throughout UT like studio series does with the movie lines/designs.

 

Outside of Gigantions, planet formers, and Mini-Cons (depending on the episode), the UT was good on scale, following the toys with their size classes. But since we've lost Ultras and Legends are the new Scouts (can we bring back old Legends classes please? I miss my mini incarnations), scale might get skewed.
But yeah, that's what Generations WAS intended to be, but God forbid anyone make something that isn't G1, right?
