I have the same issue with this as I had with their Primal Prime. They don't have enough white to make them pop when compared to the decos they're based on making them feel a bit drab.

Still no in-hand collector shots though... any hope at all they've just been holding out on showing a surprise alt face? I mean, there's been two faces on this mold already, both of which would be appropriate for S1 Primal.

 

After getting PE's Cryotek, I'm pretty tempted to get at least one version of this mold...but I should probably wait for them to do a Tigerhawk...or a Rampage.

Their Cryotek had an alt face that they didn't show off in the promo shots, even Benscollectables forgot to pull it out of his arm-shield. It was just a grey version of the frowny face that came with Megadoragon, so this one could have another face they just didn't show off.

 

Did PE ever say anything about a Primal Prime rerelease?

 

Good point... Does anyone have both previous colors of this mold and if so, do you see any way PE could pull this off without just "off with his head?"

I suppose his inner shoulders should be white with some red too - but the darker colour scheme can be taken as a colour homage to the TRU Ultra or one of the Robotmasters I guess that both use darker tones. I guess they could potentially be thinking that this may be something to do double duty as a Nemesis Mould as well as Optimus Primal's colours on Optimal Optimu's body.

I still think it complements the GT "T-beast" Primal very well too.

 

I got him in, and he is glorious! I cannot recommend getting this one enough.
Out of the three versions of this design, this is my favorite.

 

And yes his waist has a ratchet.

 

I’m impressed. The glossy black plastic, pearlescent whites and metallic reds really pop in-hand.

I just really wish he had an unmasked face as an optional part

 

I was dead set on getting this. Never liked the original Optimus Optimus colours, while the season colours metalised just look cool.

But whenever I see a video review of the original deco or the Primal, I mostly notice how everything just flops around during transformation, and I hate that. Plus no alternate face.

Did anyone pre-order theirs from ChosenPrime? Got an email it was going to be in stock in 3 days on 5/21, got charged on 5/24, but it's still in my pre-orders. Already selected the shipping for it and it's not in Stash either.

Checked the product page and it's still listed as preorder so duno if their system notified and billed me earlier by mistake.

Sent a support ticket on 5/29 but I think their team is out of the country so response time will be a bit slow. Just wondering if anyone else ran into this issue.
