Barricade needed his belt to be painted. Fine drop the paint on the arms and legs but for balance he needs that belt.

 

While the CW Prowl fills my Prowl slot better than this mold, I do like it as Barricade. (...and Smokescreen. CW Smokescreen is ...just ugh)

 

I’ve passed on all of the micro masters because they don’t seem much different than the originals which I have most of them. The weapons gimmick is dismal and I just don’t see the point. The only one so far I think makes any sense is the one that will come with Omega Supreme, Countdown. I hope they do a recollor to match the original micro masters set and also be a guardian. As a matter fact I haven’t bought any of the Target masters except for the guns to put with my Titans Returns Decepticon Head master whixh I may just go ahead and buy the Takara legends versions because they are better. Why Hasbro couldn’t have used the mold s for the Takara Targrtmastera I will never know. Now when will Hasbro make the Autobot Targetmasters!

 

Hmm. I partly wanted Barricade so that I could donate his shoulder launchers to Prowl, but that’s not going to work with the purple colour ☹️

Oh well- Prowl with Sixgun shoulder launchers is growing on me.

 

At least I think Barricade is a lot better than Prowl.

 

What's up with Thundercracker's...weird expression?

 

I believe that’s supposed to be Starscream’s smirk but with an extra wrinkle at one end. I had to do a double take on the straight-on pic, cause that just didn’t look right.  

 

I don't believe for a second that Takara would've slathered on the haphazard swaths of silver paint and called it 'battle damage'.

Legends' decos were far and away better than anything Siege has given us.

 

With notable exceptions the battle damage is not "slathered" on... I'll give you Starscream. In some cases it adds tons of character ie Soundwave and My favorite application belongs to Optimus Prime. I do look foreward to 35th Optimus... If there's some retooling or surprising paint apps

 

Believe what you want, doesn’t change the fact that these decos are more toon accurate than what hasbro typically did and more in line with Takara coloring

When I see that mouth from the front

I keep expecting Thundercracker to talk like this.

 

He's unimpressed with his own kibble in jet mode.  

 

I still have many of the original ones as well, including the Micromaster Combiners. I'm glad to see they're getting some form of release for a new generation of buyers, but I'll just stick with the originals. I did, however, pick up the Ravage and Laserbeak set because, well, it's Ravage and Laserbeak. Plus they'll go with my eventual 35th anniv Siege Soundblaster.

 

I just got the hasbro edition in hand today, they're knees, not sliding joints, a full 90° too!

(Knee bend not demonstrated here as his extra blue apps were curing, I had to fix the lack of blue toes, chest sides, and the sides of the trailer hitch top as just the top painted looked weird to me. Black or dark grey legs I can live without but the stock blue apps were pretty stingy!)
I do hope that's just a proto mistake, and Takara realise that silver on Highjump's chest should be on Powertrain's!

Post-curing turns out they can both pretty much do the full rifleman kneel!

I believe this may just qualify them as the most poseable Patrol yet?

 

Very cool, I thought these weren't coming out for a good while, read a small shop in the U.K. got them in

 

It's weird how late they're dropping elsewhere, the cross sell on the card back is Red Alert so clearly at some point they were intended for release in sync with him!

 

Can you post an image of their Siege rank? Or just list it?
