I was joking. It's actually The Kabuki Warriors. But I agree with you. I'll add the news links for transformers info. It would be nice to have something to read other than following a link. Seems like a waste of bandwidth to have a new thread with just a link to go to another new thread.

Was actually referring to the one above you that always posts links. Pretty sure he also has me ignored. I saw they were named Kabuki warriors and when I saw your post, 'experience' didnt even process for me. I guess When I read something on another site, I dont feel the need to post a link, i just share what i read.

My problem with it is the laziness. It's literally the page title as a link, not even any comment on what the news is.
Providing the pertinent info and having the link as a source would be a reasonable way to do it. Especially since not everyone wants to click through to random sites.

Admittedly I did the 'throw out a link instead of giving a good summary' thing recently in the thread. I should have done better.

I believe I can place those two specific words together, yes.

They've got some serious talent signed. They have a lot of people involved who know and understand the business. The question is whether they can put together a product that will hold an audience beyond the initial new promotion hype.
I'm all for them making a run at it, especially if it gives Vince a kick in his complacency and actually gets him to improve the creative.

The Game of Thrones finale is happening when Money in the Bank is on. As much as I want to watch MITB (Card looks pretty good, and ladder matches are always fun to watch), I’m watching GoT, then picking and choosing what matches I want afterwards. I want Sami to win.

I can't wait for the post show live stream meltdowns on Youtube! I mean, as a person who doesn't like franchises collapsing around me.. been enough of that recently.. and I do feel awful for the fans, but.. it's been quite the entertaining few weeks! At least WWE won't subvert our expectations! We expect them to bumble along with stories and matches that make little to no sense and Vince to change his mind every 2 weeks on who he wants to see fail. The only way to subvert those expectations is to put on coherent programming and steady pushes of organically popular stars, and we know that ain't happenin! :thumb

I am curious though If that AEW show is on TNT.. there will be no place to catch it on Hulu or any of the streaming services will there.

It seems like Bray Wyatt with his new look, has lost some weight.

Heard about the Lars Sullivan situation on Jim Cornette's podcast. WWE needs to fire his ass asap.

something makes me think that the new wyatt getup was what they were going to use when he was supposed to play sister abigail in that match vs demon balor that never happened due to injury.

I mean its not bad, they needed a supernatural character again. but if he comes back and jobs to someone like corbin then its pretty much over.

also the tnt deal for aew is confirmed now, bleacher report will have the streaming ppvs. good times ahead!

Corporal Kirchner rocked a successful horror gimmick after he left WWF. But that was back when he could run into the crowd with a switched on chainsaw before having hardcore matches with Foley, Funk, Awesome etc. I hope Bray can make lemonade with the lemmons he's been given.

It's funny in a week that Lars Sullivan is fined and sent on sensitivity training - a tag team put together just because they're the same race is given the lazy arsed name of 'Kabuki Warriors'.

I am very excited to hear about the AEW-TNT deal. it's going to be incredible seeing an honest alternative to WWE that doesnt get stuck just trying to replicate Vince's product only worse. AEW seems to be focused on presenting an NWA/AWA inspired wrestling show as opposed to the fly by night soap opera we've been getting for so long. WWE/WWF has definitely churned out some of the most monumental moments I can think of over the three and a half decades I've been a wrestling fan, and NXT has put the polish on some of my favorite mainstream adjacent talents, but I'm more than ready for the competition.

I'm torn on this one. I mean, the stuff that he said is absolutely reprehensible and it seems obvious that they were more than just "stupid stuff I said when I was younger" types of things. At the same time, I'm open to the possibility of people genuinely changing their mindset and becoming something better than they were in the past. I'm reminded of the James Gunn controversy and how so many people were on his side when he had said some pretty reprehensible things in the past as well. Honestly, they're different sides of the exact same coin.

My gut tells me, however, that Lars didn't realize how easy it is to find the true source of things posted under a pseudonym and that he's just covering his ass because he's getting that WWE paycheck and he wants to keep getting it. Reports that I've read have said he's apologized and is being fined quite a bit for his actions. I guess we'll see how it plays out in the future...

re: Lars i've read $100k, which is pretty heavy imo. i'll agree that what he's said is closed minded and unnecessary, but he's got a right to say what he wants and he didn't do it as a representative of the WWE (as far as I'm aware, and i'm open to correction) so it seems off that they would fine him money earned after signing with them. again, I could be wrong on the dates as I can't pretend to know when he was signed. If certain statements going against WWE's policies were made as their contracted talent then they can fine him as they see fit.

On a personal level he sounds like a tool.

That said, I used to make some pretty inflammatory statements under this monicker on other sites several years ago as a teen. Part of the reason I lurked here for a good ten years or so before posting. If those statements were to come up, and they probably wouldn't be overly difficult to find, I would like the opportunity to own up to my actions and ask to be judged by my peers on this forum as a member of this forum and not a mouthy teen with a bad sense of humor in the early 00's. so i think it's fair to allow someone to make amends, if that's what they want to do. indiscriminate cancel culture is kinda crazy.

Same here. Personally, I'm a strong believer that the past should never define your future and that everyone is redeemable given enough time and effort; I don't hold these views on those who have proven to cause physical harm to others in an extreme level like murder, etc.. Forgiveness is the hardest thing to do, but I feel it's for the best for everyone going forward. I hope he does the necessary steps to own up to 6 years worth of offensive comments.

Basically where I am on this. They're from 6 years ago (I think that's the number I saw) and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he's changed his views. At least until something new comes out.
The part where I'm iffy on this is unlike Gunn, Lars hadn't previously come out and apologized for it. The apology is now, when people are making a thing of it.
And part of me questions whether the fine and sensitivity training are legit or just a PR thing on WWE's part.
