But...have you noticed that the only two instances where we've seen her standing unaided in robot mode are that official picture where she's glued to the ground and that brief moment in the video where she's hunched over?

Does anyone know the extent of this issue? Also, did those who got delay emails all get their items?

 

Boy the abdomen looks worse from the side. Seems the whole thing is just the robot legs crouching with a half-arsed flap thrown on top to barely cover the robot crotch.
Oddly seems her robot mode upepr body is not connected to the crotch  -there is a gap there. Or it was mistransformed.
I like how poseable she is, but can\'t help but wonder whether the whole stand is necessary to keep her from falling over. Those unbending spider legs and the feet not having much in the back to balance her out...

 

Looks awesome but I\'m gonna have to pass on it so many other figures that take precedence if it were cheaper I think I would do it but I\'m sticking with the Siege Line for right now 

 

Paint is already rubbing off her chest. The constant use of the stand suggests she can\'t stand on her own

I wouldn't even go that far frankly. Yes the head and expressions are amazing, and they got the other important parts right - yes, her boobs.   But her abdomen looks weird, likely because it flips around to form the spider cephalothorax. It is too thin and has a lot of holes on the sides. And then the feet have these almost unfinished look especially on the inside. I know the old CGI looked like that, but come on, at least get rid of the giant golden double knees on the thighs. Maybe it was not a problem in the show because her knees bent there, but here the ball-y knees are above her angled kneecaps on the lower legs.
Honestly as I said, I only like the head and boobs as accurate. And the Legends toy which I have is pretty good already on that part. So I am just not feeling the urge to buy this.

I guess alone in the TF fandom, you were a gentleman she did not have to tell you "Hey, eyes up here!"  
I mean it was pretty noticeable. Even the Legends toy has those. They always reminded me of just shadows of legs, or as if they were spider legs inside amber!

Yeah, to me this feels more like one of those expensive models or statues made exclusively to diehard collectors, and not like a toy. Like those Flame Model things that don't transform. I get the feeling they designed her robot mode to be as close to the animation as possible, then had to rush the beast mode in as an afterthought. Except since she is not a big blocky G1 toy like the new 3.0 Optimus Prime, they could not just use magically disappearing panels that go into feet.

Relax guys. When it was announced Megatron would make use of Dinobot's stand, everyone assumed that meant he'd have balancing issues too. He does not.

They also have repeatedly shown off Blackarachnia's beast mode mistransformed, even in the freaking designer video. It just means Takara does not know how to properly show off their figures.

 

It's a prototype... they all have paint chips everywhere.

No, the constant use of the stand suggests that you should use the stand because it is included. To have fun with it. The figure will stand on its own; we've been over artificial dramas like these with both Dinobot and Megatron. Neither were particularly difficult to balance in either mode.

 

 

I really like the Legends version. She's perfect for my CHUG line. Enough changes to not be exactly like the toon and enough that it keeps all the important elements of her.

But yeah, I just thought they were squiggly lines on the chest. Learn something new everyday.....

You need to learn how to make molds & recast stuff like this. It's not that hard. There are videos on Youtube. You can duplicate almost anything.

@divinecomedy check your order again. I'm pretty sure mine said 11521 earlier, and now reflects 11157.

(Edit...nope, checked my original email, it was 11157 all along... Perhaps when you ordered it was only 25 % off?)

Which yes...you were onto something, I think you're just explaining it wrong. Amazon's 16500 price reflected the upcoming 10% tax. However, when we add it to the cart, Amazon is only removing the current 8% tax. Currently the Amazon discount is 25%, but when I ordered this morning it was 27%.

So, 16500, minus 8% tax =15278
15278, minus the 27% Amazon discount is 11153

So yes, it looks like Amazon is "screwing" us out of a measly 2%, which is less than $2. Which, there's a good chance will be corrected when she's released and the correct tax amount is removed.

And even if it doesn't, Amazon's price will still most likely be cheaper than most everyone else (typically AJ goes to 33-36% off TT products), but more importantly thier ridiculously cheap, fast shipping will more than make up that price difference. So, we'll still come out ahead.

So, in other words, is that $2 really that big of a deal either way?

 

I ordered 2 and it came out to 110.07 for each one after shipping.
