Yup, people having done it with no problem makes me feel even more confident in the chrome holding up with regular posing. In no rush to transform him at all, but his gun barrel being unpainted is already promising for minimising paint wear

You’ve got some great extension on some of those flight stands. A few members here have suggested them as well and they’re a great substitue for the now sold-out Takara stand.

@Maz , I wish you luck in your new direction, or should I say old new direction. I can imagine the rooftops in Iceland being constantly battered by the ever-changing weather. I am also glad to hear mention of Sunstreaker after his windshield cracked on you. I now have 3 Grapples and the second Grapple I bought was such a bad copy with cracked paint and loose joints, I bought a third copy. In that instance, I could really feel your pain.

A few quick snaps of some of my favorites, in particular Megatron, Shockwave+, Sunstreaker, and Inferno.

 

If you like the act 4 stands I’d strongly recommend the act 5’s. The lower arm is much sturdier and ratchets at the base. I use them for my mpm’s and they have the expansion poles as well.

 

I was looking at the Act 5 stands for a better base support. Nice to hear it seems improved upon. Especially seeing Grapple hoisted up on a stand. Speaking of Hoist...

They seem sturdier so far, but I haven’t had them set up long. I think they’ll be better, though. The peg is shorter and doesn’t look flimsy. It’s attached like the TT ones with a screw and nut. The stage 4 set comes with three separate attachments. I fixed 3 of my broken TT ones which is great! I’m buying another to fix my other two broken ones. I think the stage 4 set is best for fixing broken TT stands since it comes with so many arms allowing for tiered heights like in my pictures. Buying another tonight! Then I’ll look into the stage 5. I didn’t want to waste all my broken TT stands.

For MP Soundwave - yes, MP Megs - nada (although there should be based on a few episodes in the Animated G1 series in where Lazerbeak does perch on Megs arm).

I think i also have the most important Autobots from S1.
My Bee is OS and is standing on an other shelf. Need a mp sized Bee.
And maybe a Jazz, since he also has lots of screen time in S1.
Smokescreen is here because i just love the character. Who wants to gamble?  

 

If Megatron was stripped of much of his articulation, paint, and accessories, engineering was closer to CHUG level, and he was sculpted with blockier, less sophisticated shapes, then you'd be correct, he'd be in Soundwave's league. I rate your "mental gymnastics" 10/10!

Well this managed to single handedly convince me to go for Megatron a lot sooner than I initially planned. This figure is just so amazing. I cannot wait to eventually get my hands on this guy and Dinobot.
