Because 1) we've seen other retailers beat Walmart to the sale of new items 2) we've seen other retailers beat them on preorders and 3) if anyone commanded Hasbro it would be amazon.

This theory was created by forum users grasping at straws to try and make sense of random events like conspiracy theorists

 

Well, to be fair he was right on about the assumption part. You know what they say about assuming.... Plus, it totally doesn't work like how he assumes.

Man, I'm really disappointed about only one Micromaster release this wave. They're one of the only lines I liked about Siege.

 

If they did KSI Boss they might as well do a screen accurate Nitro Zeus 

 

The Sports Car Patrol is part of Wave 3 as well. The Wave 4 Micromasters are completely unknown at this point.

Meaning that, yes, we do know who else is in Wave 4. These new guys and some repacked ones that don't matter because these guys are the only new figures in the wave.

 

I was also quoting payres,who provided links to Wave 3 listings for both.

 

There's some doubt as to whether that info is correct.

To be clear: There's No doubt that was what he was told. I just suspect he was told wrong by Hasbro.

Even then it seemed a little odd

Since then IDToys has listed both as available at the same time

and they've been revealed to have adjacent WFC numbers - 32 for the Sports Patrol & 33 for the Off Road Patrol. The implication very much is they're in the same wave as each other.

Of course the retail evidence only comes from one source so far - if anyone knows of anywhere else that's listed post w2 Micromasters then let us know links to the listings please - and that particulate retailer is using Hasbro UK who can't find their own backside with both hands and a road map, so what IDToys have been told might also be wrong!

Going back to the original sizes and how many rumour - More Info On Hasbro Transformers Toylines For Year 2019: War For Cybertron, Studio Series And Botbots - Transformers News - TFW2005 - the implication there was there was meant to be 11 Micromaster sets that was split over four waves. Deluxe, Voyager and Leader from that rumour has come true over the first year of WFC, just the Micromasters and Battlemasters which are currently a bit off on the numbers.

For more wave confusion see Springer & Thundercracker..... who do look like they're split between voyager waves 3 & 4!

 

Everyday now I hope for a news thread saying Studio Series wave 7 voyagers or Studio Series Voyager Long Haul spotted at US retail.

Long haul is a must have.

 

Did they remold Boss from the Nitro mold or is that a straight repaint? I could have sworn the cockpit looked a bit different, Boss is far more attractive to me then Nitro's deco was (in jet mode). I'm not sure what it is.....

 

It's just a repaint.

 

It's not conspiracy theory, it's precedent. Like, Wal-Mart literally bankrupted manufacturers in the 90s who wouldn't play nice with them. They have an insane market share, so they've got leverage. Hasbro has no pull in the opposite direction.

Hasbro needs Wal-Mart for their bottom line, but Wal-Mart has no particular loyalty or need of Hasbro. Other companies can fill the shelves with cheap plastic and they wouldn't bat an eye.

 

But... as with the excellent repaint of SS Drift (a straight repaint of the AOE (or was it TLK?) version with a new head sculpt)... fresh paint can go a long way to making the whole thing look more premium.

 

It really does. Boss looks SOOO MUCH BETTER to me with his deco then Nitro did.

 

oh man those images of Longhaul look great!! Dude looks amazing as a standalone, let alone that he's part of the big dev! Super excited to be collecting the constructicons this year. The studio series versions have just been total showstoppers to me.

ooooooonly thing, if i had to nitpick, is now that we finally have a photo sorta showing the inside of the dump bucket, there totally is just a set of arms hiding out in there. The silhouette looks amazing, and id rather a good robot mode/combiner foot, but the arms in the back totally takes away from the dump truck mode.

point is, if thats the only thing i have to be worried about, LH is shaping up to be a great release

KSI Boss....eh. Robot node looks good but alt mode looks pretty bad. Nitro really wasn't so bad in the deco department I feel. The new deco doesnt seem enough of sin improvement to warrant getting.

 

its funny to think that the KSI Boss figure is a retool of Nitro, but in the movie Nitros model was recycled from Boss in an earlier movie.
