I don't think so. He just has good access to stuff but I wouldn't think Tony is the type to pass off anything except what he advertises. I would use him more except I have lousy luck with stuff from China. That said, the times I've had issues, it was NEVER with him. He's good people.

I've been a customer of Robotoybase for years. Tony's wares are legit and he's very nice. Not to mention a fan and collector himself, it seems.

I sometimes do wonder where he finds the rarer ones. About a year back, I had my last wisdom tooth removed and it was so harrowing that I decided to treat myself to a fantoys Sovereign. At the time, Tony was the only one who had a few avaliable. Now, he does bump up his prices a little if a piece is really rare, but I don't think that's unfair.

    In short, robotoybase is legit.

Heh, I have an order being delivered today. Only took a week to make it to me in Florida! Anyways he used to sell a ton of KO's years ago but im pretty sure he got in trouble for that. He mainly sells third party now. I've used him off and on for at least about 10 years. He's a great seller and has been around for ever!

I use them frequently, I haven't had any issues yet.

As an aside, I actually got a good deal on there. I bought an MMC Eupatorium because I wanted an Elita One for my Classics collection. It was the last copy in stock and didn't include any instructions or weapons, but I paid $29.

After handling it in person, I'm glad I didn't pay more for it. I couldn't even get the head to peg in correctly in robot mode, even after following online videos. I got so frustrated that I just unscrewed the vehicle mode kibble from her back, which finally allowed her head to peg in correctly. She can't transform any longer (which I hate) but at $29, that's OK. If I paid more for it back in the day, I'd be SO pissed, what a crappy mould.

Robotoybase has some hard to find stuff in stock, and pretty good deals, too.

    RoboToyBase takes American Expresses, right?

I was about to order Platinum Edition Unicron, but when I went to checkout, there was 2 expensive shipping options and it only listed PayPal was the payment method.

How can I change the payment method to American Express? And why were the shipping options almost $100?

I've always used PP so I can't help you there. As for the cost of shipping, it's probably just the size/weight of that figure and the packaging required. Ive notice if something is over 2kg the price skyrockets.

Shipping from Robotoybase is always crazy high for me. The size of the package can make it worse but I expect well over $50 for the first item even if it’s a medium size bot.

Shipping has kept me from completing many orders there. The do have some rare items and great prices on some items. So I do check in occasionally. However, on many items, you’re better off going elsewhere.

Ha..glad you posted this. I’ll stop looking for it now. And back on topic I ordered from robottoybase again recently, an obscure Hercules head that isn’t even listed on eBay anymore, all smooth.

I just saw there a listing for a KBB oversized Bee. Hmmm.

Hey, how legit is Robotoybase.com? Because they appear to have UW Computron for $199.90. AND I REALLY NEED COMPUTRON.

Robotoybase is fully legit imo. They ship fast, too. I think the drawback is the shipping costs. I've so far only ordered small things from them and the shipping has been about $10 each time. If I'm reading previous posts, it sounds like the larger boxes can get a little spendy. But it says right on all their listings, that you can save shipping costs by ditching the box. I'm a box freak myself, I gotta have the box it came in. Hope this helps

He's very legit. The problem is the cost of shipping usually. Put it in your cart and see if it's worth it but is he a scammer? Absolutely not.

If you don't mind, order it without the box (that's an option for all his toys on the site). Can save you a good amount.

It's funny, Tony the owner sometimes goes by "Uncle Billy" and I tell my wife he's one of my favorite relative because he sends me toys in the mail. She went "So who's the guy at Toy Dojo....Uncle Eddie?" I said, "Don't be silly...that's my cousin Eddie. He's also is one of my favorites....way nicer than your mother."

After sleeping on the couch for 2 nights, I don't talk to her much about my favorite relatives anymore... o_O

    Let's see..

$199.90 plus what's the cheapest shipping?

(Finds the cheapest shipping is $27.08, total cost is $226.98)

...Why is the universe the way that it is? Why can't we just get a stinking reissue for UW Computron like we did Superion and Menasor?

    GAHHHH. :cry

Tony is awesome! Fast shipping, friendly communication, great selection of stuff, and good prices. In fact, the prices are so good sometimes that it can offset the overseas shipping charge. I've bought a few things from him that came out cheaper than what some domestic retailers were charging even with the shipping.

Yeah shipping can be high, but it's usually fast unless it gets stuck in customs. But the prices are cheaper than other stores, so as said sometimes it's still cheaper than domestic stores and you usually get it faster.
