Well if that's their Prowl, it looks like they're getting better at doing white. I feel like the white of their Seaspray's body and Inferno's ladder and ear bits are kind of a dingy off-white that could stand to be a few shades lighter.

 

Has it ever been revealed what Magic Square's names for their Prowl, Bluestreak, and Smokescreen will be?

That would be nice, looks the Ginrai Prime might jump to front of line followed by classic G1 Optimus.

I would have preferred the Datsuns and Cosmos to be released first so we could have seen more side by side comparison pictures between NewAge and Magic Square.

 

Hoist has been done for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if be dropped out of nowhere.

 

Probably going to get the MST Smokescreen; He doesn't really need to match the others perfectly in my book. I would still like to see one of these guys standing next to a NewAge version,but I think my verdict will be the same. I don't know if Smokescreen and Prowl/Bluestreak were ever in the same scene... Tho I know for sure Prowl and Bluestreak were in the beginnings of Season 1.

 

Are they going to be available separately? I've only seen the set advertised for PO.

 

That would be a nice surprise. It is always nice to add a bot to the shelf that doesn't have 3p representation in legends scale.

 

Woah I guess you have a point. In that case, I would probably then Sell the MST Prowl and BlueStreak separately on their own... I really like MST's aesthetic, but I also really Like NA's as well. And while Smokescreen clearly shares the same general design, his overall look is different enough from the other two Datsuns that I think it would make for an interesting Combo. So, I think it would certainly be worth it to Buy the Set and then sell of the "primary two", doing so would just help to earmark funds for more figs! Mwuahahahahahaaa!!!

 

So annoying. New to this Legends thing, and it looks like Magic Square does that a lot. That is going to make me not buy their stuff.
Not looking to get three of the same mold. Only want one and thank you for making my life needlessly difficult, MS.
And no, I'm not going to buy stuff I don't want just so I can go through the effort of selling it.

 

As I only wanted smokescreen from mst what I did was go part in with someone I trusted (my bro and a friend of his) so we get what we all want. And since it's through my bro, I don't have to worry about his friends money. Win win for me.

 

Sorry, maybe I'm misreading your comment, but Magic Square does what "a lot"? If you're referring to their upcoming 3-pack of Datsuns, it's only the second time they've done such a thing [the first being the 2-pack of Beachcomber and Seaspray, two completely different molds].

If you're talking about repaints of the same mold... everyone does that. NewAge is probably the worst offender in the Legends game at the moment [although I'm an easy mark who will buy them all].

DX9 used to release figures in 3-packs, and MFT has released three 3-packs of OSKO Seekers, but that's about all I can think of.

True, but that was AGES ago, and still doesn't explain what is meant by "Magic Square does that a lot".

I edited my above post - I realized that MS did release a 2-pack [Beachcomber and Seaspray, but as mentioned they're two completely different molds so not really the same as a Datsun Bros. 3-pack]; it's the only multi-pack that MS has released to-date, as far as I am aware.
