There's been no convention related with Hasbro Pulse, or anything else exclusive in that regard announced.

 

The Star Wars Celebration Exclusive Black Series Obi-Wan and Darth Maul figures. It was announced beforehand on Pulse social media the date and time that they would go live. When they went live, they sold out in thirty seconds, and there was no order limit, despite literally everything else on Pulse having an order limit. It sets a rather poor precedent for future exclusives being sold on Pulse, to say the least.

 

Actually there was an order limit... it was just added an hour and a half later after the items had already sold out.

The whole situation reeks and no one other than Black Series enthusiasts are taking it seriously at the moment. But this is the quality of service I think we'll expect when the SDCC exclusives go live.

 

I hope they're limited to one per household. I really want a Ghostbuster MP-10, but no way I'll get an order in during that chaos.

 

That’s clearly a mistake though. It shouldn’t happen again. So in a way, Star Wars fans have taken one for the team.

 

That's a bummer. I had asked because it did not seem anyone was aware of any Transformer related exclusives or convention offerings.

Fair enough. When the Transformers go online and it all hits the fan, expect TFW to explode in volcanic rage.

 

Don’t forget, it could end up like last year and the SDCC exclusive could be sold by TT as a regular release.

 

How popular is Ghostbusters in Japan?

 

I certainly hope so. But the only way to know that Hasbro Pulse will fix that mistake is to acknowledge that they made one. Here is Hasbro Pulse's official response so far about the incident:

Genuine question -
Did they acknowledge the mispriced deluxes for $9.99 when it first opened before they changed them to the right price?
Or the rescue micromasters accidentally getting set to $19.99 before they fixed that back to their normal price?

 

As far as I'm aware, they haven't said anything about it publicly. They're pretty silent for the most part about everything.

Unfortunately, we fill the silence with our own worries, so their silent strategy may end up backfiring. We've seen it a bit with No Man's Sky, but it was because they were silently fulfilling the promises they made previously. Unfortunately, the damage had already been done and their recovery wasn't as grand as it should have been. At the same time, the silent strategy is one favored by cable and internet providers and I can't think of a single human being that thinks those companies are giving or honest. Then again, talking to people and letting them know you're listening can backfire too if you prove yourself out of touch with your fanbase (just look at anything Youtube has done in recent years). If it was a mistake, it'd be nice of them to acknowledge it or else we are forced to build our own hideous narrative about the inefficiency of their enterprise. And scarily, our new negative mental picture of the company is more often than not proven true. We hope it not to be though.

 

There’s a specific show in China that had it leaked as an exclusive. It may be an all-convention exclusive, not a terribly limited production run.

SDCC Devs and Fort Max weren’t terribly rare, were they?

 

I'm not sure, but my question was more about how the Japaneses market would respond to Ghostbusters in general.

 

They don't call it Ghostbusters.

Just a Friendly reminder if any one is planning on pre-ordering Selects Smokescreen through Pulse and already haven't, His Pre-orders supposedly close on May 18th. I don't Know How accurate that is but that's what the pulse listing says.
