Mine had no scuffs right out of the box, but I hadn't even attached it to my Prime yet, folded the crest down and then collapsed it back and there was a scuff. I feel like I am the absolute most careful person when it comes to handling my MPs, so I just don't understand how it happened. I'm guessing the underside of the crest has a rough edge that rubs against the face plate right at the chin. It's a bummer. But even with that minor scuff it's night and day between these two heads. The v2 head just completes this figure!

 

I have the 2 sets that I made for wheeljack and ironhide. I just haven’t listed them yet as I have been behind because there has been so many orders for the TE- 01 and phoenix parts plus there’s a backlog of a ton of people wanting both versions of the omega symbols plus the usual parts that people need. My damn printer head screwing up really put me behind with a big backlog but I’m almost caught up. So I haven’t listed them yet just because I don’t want to make people wait. But I’m hoping to be caught up by the middle of next week so should start having them listed by then.

 

I did this for my MP-36 since I'd heard about the paint chipping issue.

Shout out to TFSafari for getting this guy to me so quickly. I wasn't initially going to pick this version up since I already had the MS Prime, but when the second run came out with the new head I had to see what all the fuss was about. As soon as I took him out of the box and put the new head on, I could see why. I still need to get better windshield inserts, but even now I can tell that this is going to be the main Optimus in my collection.

 

What are you using for the blast effect? Does it fit securely?

 

All 3 have their merits. Primorion is criminally underrated IMO.

 

My V2 head tracking says it should have been delivered in my postbox but it is empty... this never happened to me before...

Edit: and now the tracking says it is on its way? This is so weird.

 

It's an accessory from the Hasbro Siege line. It doesn't fit into the gun naturally, so I cut a small strip of clear plastic clamshell from a package I had laying around and rolled it up to act as a makeshift plug. It expands after you plug it in so it holds securely, and it's clear plastic so it lets the light from the bulb shine through.

 

It's going to get worse if your in the states with the Tariff increase. They are checking anything from China closer. Toys are said to be one of the possible items that will be added to the tariff list next. So expect prices to go up for 3rd party figures.

 

My v2 is the same.
Just close and not aligned, so need to align them carefully.

Due to the structure of TE01, there is a little unreasonable.

Did it come like that? I'd exchange it for a new one rather than try to repaint it yourself.

 

Yes, it came like that. Unfortunately the seller can't help in this regard. It is the common silver paint, similar to the one on a lot of my other figures so maybe some experts here can point me to a good paint and I will just touch it up. I am ok and I never/seldom transform my figures.

 

Wow. That almost looks sanded or like someone started rubbing off with a chemical.

But it should be an easy spray can/airbrush job if you can find a close enough paint match.

 

That is messed up. If the seller is not willing to help you, definitely don't buy from them again.
With that said, the little QC issues that seen to be popping up with V2 is a little concerning.

 

I might need this even though I have MP44 ordered. My MP-10 just looking outdated.

 

Mine had a minor chip at the bottom part. I used Tamiya TS-83 Metallic Silver, the result is good.
