I agree we should not jump into conclusions at this point. However Bumblebee's feet is that bad i.e. we should not discount the possibility that the alt mode on this one will not look better than that.

 

Oh for sure. V2s feet are huge. But on that same token no one has seen it in-hand yet and I have a feeling they’ll look just fine when we have it. Same thing here. That crap photoshop job was just something we can be fairly certain will look cleaner in the final product. There’s a huge hinge there that’s not straight in the pic and the space under it is between the bot mode legs that are in a V shape. So it’s reasonable to assume (imo) that it’ll be able to sit flush with the black part of her legs that are right under that gap and follow the same curve on the edges.

 

Oh come on, some people in the board (who live in Japan) have seen Bumblebee 2.0. The Amazon JP product page shows the same thing.

 

Ok. Late to this party.

First, I totally get why people have an issue with the beast mode. I do. Not telling anybody they shouldn't have those issues.

But, for me, I think it's ok. If it's mistransformed, which seems likely, all the better. There's a legit shot at a really solid beast mode. But even if this is what we get, I'm not upset about it. It's much closer to the cg model than the old toy, and the robot mode is exceptional. I'm not going to tell anybody their business, but, and again I stress purely for myself, I am ok with this at the listed price.

I would also like to remind everybody that Cheetor and Dinobot both generated cries of "terrible beast modes." This was to be expected. You may agree on either of those figs. I think both are actually fantastic. It may be that BA still surprises. But even if she doesn't and this is the best Takara can provide, I'm still happy with it.

Maybe this is because I was more prepared for compromises than others. Maybe you just think I have low standards. But it's actually not as bad as I was concerned it might be. And it doesn't look to partsform. I'm content, and open to being pleasantly surprised when we see better pics.

Robot. That was the biggest issue with the original toy... MP in robot mode and Telemocha in beast should scratch the itch just short of having a statue of her in both modes realistically

 

I’m not saying his feet aren’t big. They are. In basically every iteration they are lol. I’m just saying once he’s actually in hand it won’t be all that bad aesthetically and it’ll look fine.

The Telemocha looks nice but the MP is still more accurate to the show if that's what you're looking for

 

Any chance of a metallic paint job (preferably black widow colors)? I am very interested in this piece, I am not a BW collector, and not sure who she would display next to ( G1 insecticons)?

 

Probably not, and as for displaying, she's probably not gonna look good displayed with G1 insecticons. Beast Wars has a very unique style and doesn't really "match" with anything else.

 

I'd say they will make an attempt at fix the issues folks are having with BA's mode , how successful they will be is another matter.

This is true. He does have more bulkiness so should be easier ti hide more parts!

That said i really hope Rattrap is MP48!  

 

I'm less worried about Tarantulas because of how much bigger he is, plus the different shape of his spider tail (not across the correct terminology) should be able to hide his robot legs better. Hopefully they find a way to detach the green sockets from his robot arms to get a cleaner undercarriage.

 

Looks like it'll be a while before MP-43 has any competition for most perfect beast mode of all time.
