Honestly, I expected worse.
Even so...... 

 

Dinobot is twice the size of this lady, but even with all of that extra mass and larger body still couldn't hide everything.

I'm glad you are staying optimistic, but frankly Blackarachnia just doesn't have the space in those slender hips to hide enough spider bits to cover up all of her robot pieces.

Once the official pics come out with the tabs all put together correctly and you reach the acceptance stage of MP reveal grief, you'll see that's exactly what this is. I personally think it will end up looking best also when attached to the web stand (where you won't be able to even really see the back at all).

 

It ain't great, but honestly I think we all knew it wouldn't be. It's still passable, considering she had one of the cheaty-est designs in the show. Like Dinobot, if they had to make sacrifices somewhere, I'm glad it was in beast mode.

 

I understand the limitations of the engineering. With just a few improvements, I would be very, very happy with how she turned out in spider-mode. If you are right and a few tabbing improvements are still needed, I think I'll be thrilled. Like I said, I'm not looking for perfection. The shape needs to be right, and right now it's not. We'll see what time says, honestly it could go either way for me.

 

We'll see in about 5 days (if the rumors are true).

 

I think I'll be fine. They would never touch it with a ten foot pole. That's why they always call me to squish it and they say it's an emergency.

 

That’s rough, but it was always going to be a challenge and the bot mode makes up for it.

 

It looks mistransformed, but yea likely ether way there will be parts hanging out.

 

Oh yeah, there will definitely be parts sticking out. That's fine. If a better transformation can make the parts sticking out look better I'll be happy.

 

I'm sorry, but that's the worst beast mode I've ever seen.

It’s not perfect but I’m still impressed they were able to even pull this off. There was no chance they were ever going to be able to hide every bit of the robot mode. Their engineering magic can only go so far. Hopefully there is some mistransformation issues here though. 

 

For me Blackarachnia's beast mode doesn't really feel as important as most other characters, it's strange cause she probably transformed more than Rhinox and Inferno in later seasons before she upgraded to TM2. I guess it's because she didn't do a lot of talking in beast mode the only key scenes I can recall are some with Tarantulas as they're both spiders and the canyon from Victory.
Anyway I've got a side by side here, plus a rough blacking out of the legs just to see how the overall shape looks.

 

I'm not worried about the mistransformed alt mode. It can clearly cleanup better. My biggest gripe is that her hourglass is a weird metallic fuschia color instead of red.

 

Good lord … I think even the Happy Meal Transmetal Blackarachnia had a better beast mode than that!

 

Collectors weather it be official or 3rd party pieces always find faults with pieces Anyone has the right to complain and it is that collectors money to spend or not, but I am tried of people tearing down good looking pieces, before final test shot and even at release. BW collectors have been whining and saying that they are forgotten, get no love from Hasbro/Takara, and at the 3rd release for 2019, a beautiful piece is being produced, people are bitching X is wrong and Y is wrong. BW collectors had nothing, now there is something, and that something looks great

 

Robot mode looks amazing. I have repeatedly said I'm waiting for official shots before I make up my mind completely, but based on current images I do not think Beast Mode looks great. I don't even think it looks good. I think when properly transformed it may possibly look great, but I'm allowed to express my concerns before then. I have also been very careful to specify these are my own personal feelings, and no one else needs to feel the same way. I have not called the figure trash, or anything else of that nature.

As long as people are taking ownership of their opinions, I don't see an issue with sharing them.

Don't worry, TT doesn't give a s**t about what people say in a western TF fans forum. The only thing they care about is to sell stuff and nitpicking doesn't equal to not buying.
Also, "good looking" is subjective in this case (I'm talking about beast mode here), so basically you're saying you're tired of people with different opinions than yours.

 

BW fans aren´t just whining about the figure. The bot bode, as many already said, looks nearly perfect. Takara just sacreficed the look of the beast mode for a better robot mode. That is what people are talking about and that´s fine.
And as many already stated, the prototype figure for the altmode was probably handled a bit rough, therefore the deranged look of it. Sure, even when transformed correctly it probably won´t be the best alt-mode but considering as I said that they probably focused on the bot, I can live with that.
Also this forum is meant for stuff like that, discussing and criticizing Transformer figures, which means people will post their own opinions about the figures here, be it good ones or negative ones.
