I dig it, I think the alt mode looks pretty great. And after Dinobot I'm super excited to experience that transformation! I imagine things will plug in together more solidly than we are seeing in the picture.

 

I think that display model is a bit off, so final WILL look better, though perhaps not A LOT better.

Still, the basic shape is there, with the visible robot bits being the biggest detriment. Presumably TakTom is presuming their primary public would prioritize the boo... uh, robot mode.

Whatever, I’ll just leave her in robot mode, but God damn I guess that’s how they managed to pull ofsuch a flawless bot form.

 

Not surprised, a mediocre spider mode with an amazing bot mode. I 100% guarantee you that she will not be able to hold her own weight with those spider legs (I mean, even here in the pic it's resting on its bottom...), and that shouldn't be the case in an MP.

 

I mean, how do you propose she do so?

Even MPs are bound by physics, how would such skinny legs hold a figure like that?

 

I think the spider mode looks fine. It’s no different from all the gaps and openings in Cheetor’s alt mode, and props to them for making the general shape of a large round abdomen while at the same time having a super thin robot mode.

 

Ratchets. They exist and can be put in something that thin, figure stands are proof of that.

Spider mode looks *ok*, but as long as the robot mode is perfect (which it is), that’s what I care about most.

Looks absolutely fantastic to me. I know the BW line gets some flack because Beast Modes haven\'t been perfect - bot bits showing and whatnot - but it\'s still damned impressive that they have managed to design figures that retain their overall personality in beast mode, engineered transformations that actually mirror how they transformed on the show, and have robot modes that are spon-on accurate. 

I can\'t wait to throw down money on Tigatron and Tarantulus, since they will largely be upscaled versions of existing molds with a few tweaks here and there. Also still waiting for the Grimlock redeco of Dinobot...

I’m really happy with all the positive opinions of this alt mode. You guys are fantastic! I can’t wait to own this VIXEN

 

Look we all knew sacrifices would have to be made. At least they chose the right mode to make them in.

That said, it’s really quite good all things considered.

 

Ooof...

I know there could be minimal improvements from her being mistransformed here, but can't see it being much. Maybe even fix my biggest issue, the squatness, if indeed she can be extended any more. And while I do prefer an accurate robot mode (and of course she looks great there!), still no denying what I'm seeing just here... That that's a bit rough.

 

Omg. This is an accurate BLACKARACHNIA!!! I know I’ve always enjoyed her character and design, but man. The more I drink this gin (   ) the more I am falling in love. This figure is going to be actually quite special on my shelf. Just wow.

 

well, of course, alcohol is the only way to enjoy this alt mode.
