Between 3p and HasTak I've noticed only 2 figures have the look of Grimlock.

Now, why the devil is this? What company do you think can POSSIBLY pull off a definitive version?

I don't include MP Grimlock because IMO being a current owner of him, I hate his leg transformation and these LOOK better.

 

I guess its a mattter of opinion. I’m fine with the mp, I like the upcoming gigapower version but not enough to replace.

 

I kinda like that the Ex Gokin Grimlock has the tail kibble pieces (which comes from the toy if I'm not mistaken). Not many Grimlocks have that.

 

What is this? Are you serious with this or are you just trying to provoke all the FT fans to come in here and tell you how good Grinder is? Or the Takara fans? Or the fans of the oversized Takara. Did you just pick Grimlock because he's the character with more versions than anybody besides Prime?

And you don't like the transformation on the MP's legs but you consider MFT definitive? Their legs have practically the same transformation except that MFT's end up less filled in.

Ugh. I'm not big on toon accuracy (or rather I'm not big on taking toon accuracy too literally) but I freakin' hate Grimlock's toon version. Those tiny arms (robot mode arms - t-rex arms are supposed to be tiny), and that crazy long t-rex body.

 

It's a non-transforming figure. Ex Gohkin. Not sure if that's the company name or just the toy line.

 

IIRC, the company name is Fewture.

 

He has more Variations. No real definitive except the Gokin and MFT in the G1 arena.

The hips on the MFT aren't the same which is the problem with the MP. The MFT is much more solid than the MP.

 

I really want MMC's Trux to come out sometime soon, I had planned to get an IDW Grimlock so I wouldn't feel the need to complete the whole set. I wish Reformatted would kick back into high gear.

 

I mean, they clearly don't.

 

The small one you had to build yourself was nice as fuck. Came with a combiner or something.

 

At first I was like, "Wow, what figure is that? It looks good!"

But it doesn't even transform??? Haha, pretty sure that disqualifies it from being the "definitive" Grimlock (if such a dubious concept even exists).
