Your calculation is slightly off (or you made a typo). The price after a 30% discount would be ¥10,500 or about $95.35 USD at today’s exchange rate.


It’s awesome that she comes with a stand at that price! Really makes me wonder why they didn’t pack a stand with Megatron.

Sigh... I hate being right all the time  

I also said I thought she'd come with a base...and she does...cue people saying that justifies the extra over Bee's price. The 'poison anchor' was a given (her grappling weapon thing), I'm guessing three faces, neutral, smile and screaming. What do we think 'Visor' and 'Visor Cable' are? Would it be that green data download effect?

 

I'd wager that her spider abdomen won't be as big as it looks on the show in proportion to the rest of her spider mode body, and that there will be a decent amount of visible robot parts under the spider mode. I'd be fine with that though. It looks like it will transform a lot like the original toy as well.

 

I'm glad that they got the green details on her elbows correct.



I should have expected as much, as TakaraTomy does their research (unless it's G1 Galvatron) and just doesn't look at the one image on TFWiki and call it a day like Hasbro does sometimes.

You can preorder from Amazon Japan when she gets listed, and for much lower than the suggested price. You don’t pay anything until she’s ready to ship, and you will get locked in at the lowest price from the day you ordered (which is why a lot of people put their preorder in on day one). That also gives you time to put some money aside in the coming months. If you wanted to buy her, that is.

It really saddens me that Beast Wars has now taken center stage with regular releases coming about one every few months, while G1 is MIA. Supposedly Takara has a Hound in the works, but are we ever going to see him? Sad panda...

Not to hijack the hype and excitement over Black Arachnia, but I'm in the same boat as you. I am really looking forward to Hound and I honestly thought that we'd be getting a Blaster too (what with that special MP cassette set from late 2017/early 2018 that seemed to hint at Steeljaw).
