On Toyhax... I recommend getting the clean clear and white outline logo, its the 2nd to largest on the sheet. The largest one is slightly too big. Honestly if it were just a bit smaller it would be perfect, except the depression setting behind it. So the 2nd to largest is the best bet there. When applying it. You may trim a bit off of one of the edges a bit to make it work much better. I got mine to fit quite nicely. Highly recommended. I too hope Toyhax does a set to customize the look of him. I kinda want some reverse stickers to place inside the chest windows. But then again a part of me wants regular back sided stickers so I can put them on a plastic cut and fitted insert, so as not to screw up the windows. Either way, right,now I have my cardboard pieces behind them.

Possibility is lacking on this boy. That’s why he isn’t as appealing to me.

 

I hadn't checked in awhile, but I finally pulled the trigger on this guy since I saw it's the second batch shipping with the v2 head now. I'm really looking forward to him being my bot mode Prime.

 

Can you show me a pose he can’t do?

Ok, but they still haven’t got the second heads available. That’s weird.

I'm not that bothered he can't pull off the 'axed in half torso' pose tbh. That's a lazy ab crunch, these companies should be doing them like FT Roadking. Much cleaner and doesn't ruin the sculpt.

Plus that bottom pic it looks like MS01 has back problems and is struggling to get back up.

 

Ab crunches and arcs look cool man. It’s my thing.

They're great when done right, look at Road King. When they're done wrong they look like they've been hacked in half and destroy the sculpt.

 

Yeah. Which is why I’m not really into the ones like on Light of Freedom. But Convoy 3.0? He’s got a good one. Roadking has a pretty fine ab crunch, but his range is not quite the extreme I want.

 

Nope, v3 Prime ab crunch breaks the sculpt too, its right there in the pics above hence the 'hacked in half' look.

You've gotta weight up range and sculpt. If you don't mind robots looking like they've been hacked in half that's cool. Not everyone does. And for those we have better attempts such as Roadking.

 

I mean not really. It actually goes off a joint on the front. Unlike LoF which is a rod in the centre. 44 actually doesn’t break the sculpt at all. We also haven’t seen him from the back so you can’t really prove it either.

What’s that great about roadking’s joint? It’s good but there are way better abdominal joints. Look I get it. I just like ab crunches and I just don’t like how TE-01 doesn’t have one.

 

Just checked mine and he can't do 'I've got no elbows'  

 

We'll agree to disagree about mp44. You'll see in August if you don't believe what you see with your own eyes above. Devil is in the detail whether you choose to see it or not. That lunging axe pose is particularly messy and broken around the abs and waist. It's like someone has snapped him in half and put him back together wonky.

Regards Roadking I've already spelt it out at least 3 times. It doesn't break the sculpt. It doesn't make the figure look like it's hacked in half with an axe from behind. The torso is always 'filled in' even with the ab crunch in effect. Same as Cesium and Gigapower Grinder.

That's the most elegant way to do it and you can utilise the joint from any angle without it looking stoopid.

 

Ab crunchs are the worst thing to ever happen to Transformer articulation.

 

I am sure TE01 can do these. Maybe not as good but still.
