Haha, thanks! I used a post-it note and it works really well. All the parts still tab together and it stays in place. I don't even need to take it off to transform him.

Loving this picture of the pair of them.

What a pair of weirdos, the both of them. But I too have fond childhood memories of Apeface as I got him when I was a kid, whereas I had to wait a long time for Snapdragon - now at least I have one that's only missing one tail fin (and I keep forgetting to buy a repro one as the ones that come up for sale are always crazy prices!). And I was delighted when only a year or two ago I want searching for how to fix Apeface's floppy backpack and managed to sort that out too.

His Ape mode is cool whereas Snapdragon's (snap)dragon mode is a bit... meh.

But I've never been able to find him in this still marvellous G1 pic - Snapdragon is pretty obvious but having looked for quite some time (on the original sized version I have hanging up) never found Apeface:

Any of you fine chaps got FT Roadking? Looks good but i wondered how fiddly the transformation was? Watched some vids but other than going through it they don’t really comment either way on it!

The feet are complex but once you learn what you're doing it's very smooth and intuitive.

The rest of the transformation is pure genius.

    I absolutely adore him.

Plus, as it's Fanstoys, if you sour on it you'll have no problem moving it on for at least what you paid.

I think that's Mindwipe (just below and to the left of Sixshot?) there's a hint of a batwing on 'im!

And I, like a few others (including previously @DaftRaider himself, bless 'im), have had them pre-ordered with Kapow for longer, thanks to Hasbro UK's excellent supply service. Thanks, Dan.

Having had more time to fiddle with Soundwave & Starscream, I can safely say that they're wonderful. They're both incredibly posable. Starscream has particularly impressed me. The shoulder pylon transformation is brilliant and not what I was expecting, and the tetraviperjet mode looks great. He us much better in person, and I'm glad I picked him up despite not actually liking the character.

If they can keep this quality up, I may end up all in for this line!

(I'm not sure what to with Sounwave's superfluous second gun though. Perhaps I'll give it to Reflector when he's released.)

The shotgun? It makes for an excellent polearm convertor for your chosen melee Battle Master or blunt implement bit of C.O.M.B.A.T. gear of choice. It's the only thing I covet from Siege Sounders.

I can’t comment on the postage but they are a customs magnet.

Heck, Iron Factory Vos and Kaon are coming with Tarn's replacement arms. Guess I'm getting Tarn after all.

    (anyone shifting their Tarn?)

And like a sap I will pay stupid money for Skywarp without hesitating, thus convincing Hasbro that it is ok to charge more. I AM the problem.

It just hit me that July is only a month and a bit away. Hopefully I'll have got the wave 2 deluxes by then.

    Totally the correct answer.

I tried the backpack fixing mod but mine soon started to flop again. It's interesting you say that the ape mode is better than the dragon mode, as I was having a conversation with someone in the G1 thread who was of the opposite opinion. And I didn't have a good defense. I don't think either beast mode is that great, to be fair.

Another day, another duo. I really did love these two in the comics. Classic upgrade to that old favourite, the Decepticon jet
