Agreed. Hate how they ruined his character. I hated the look they gave him also. It just didn't feel like Vision. Paul Bettany is one of my favorite actors but they just wrote vision as such a whiny feely wuss it was nothing like the real vision. In doing so his character never really garnered real traction or fan attention so not surprised they basically kicked him into the trash dump and never looked back. Guess he eventually gets rebuilt for Disney+ series but hopefully he looks and acts more like the comic vision. I think Paul could really bring life to that character.
One thing I did like about the stones and using the gauntlet is not anyone could use it and using them is basically a death sentence unlike the comic. I was really hoping to see Nebula use the gauntlet like in the comic and undoes the damage and most importantly bring Gamora back to life, but I don't mind the trade-off they used in the movie.
So far, we've only seen it one way, Hulk surviving whatever happens to Banner, then when he's Banner again, Banner is OK. In Ragnarok, Hulk has a scar on his chest, right where Abomination stabbed him with his elbow spike. Seems Hulk may not heal the same way and get that benefit.
I’m split on this one. On the one hand, using the stones should have consequences. That’s the rule they set up. On the other hand, I’d like to see more Hulk fights if they have any plans for him moving forward. He would fit right in for the 3rd MCU Spider-Man movie or even Ant-Man 3. If Thor’s story isn’t over, then I don’t see why Hulk’s has to be.
Rhodey lost the use of his legs... and they found a way for him to get around like normal. Let's stop acting as though Hulk's arm being permanently damaged is going to slow him down.
There was a rumor that he was getting a Disney+ show where he’ll pass the torch to She Hulk, like with Hawkeye.
Yeah in the comics it was more like you’d loose your mind by being overwhelmed by the Gauntlet’s sheer power.
True enough. That's why I said I'm not sure how this fused persona would handle it, but again... there's always a way around it. Personally, I feel he needs more development... especially after Feige teased that Ragnarok would start a "new character arc trilogy" from Ragnarok to Endgame. And I feel that in both Ragnarok and Infinity War they did give him a story arc... but Endgame didn't address anything at all. Sure, he become Professor Hulk during the five year time skip, but that hardly qualifies as an actual story arc. No one likes off screen character development. Basically why I feel that Hulk's story isn't over yet. I'd like to see more going forward so we can really get to know this knew Hulk and I'd like to see a story set during the time skip of how he become merged... especially since his merged self seems to be popular with people.
Got to disagree on the 3rd If a regular guy jumped out a plane and landed on the ground it would not have caused much damage to the ground In Norton’s hulk film, which was not the first hulk film btw, the ground was very much damaged ....so it implies he transformed before impact are you sure what caused that scar? I don’t recall any scar in the first avengers film, or the 2nd.....could be that was a new one he got fighting Then again I could just need new glasses
Well, by first I meant first in the MCU. The one before it is not part of the MCU and therefore has no bearings on the discussion. Now, you have a point about the impact crater. Had to pop in the blu-ray and rewatch the scene, but you're correct. It appears he transformed at the last second before impact.
The first film with that terrible version of Absorbing Man as the Hulk's daddy and those goofy ass Hulk dogs is in no way part of the MCU. It wasn't even produced by Marvel Studios.
I'm half happy and half not with the handling of Hulk. Spoiler I wish they given him a part in the final battle. But he can't perform to fight considering it took a toll in his arm after using the gauntlet. Regarding his healing factor, IT SHOULD BE THERE. Maybe not now. But in the future. I mean, they'll be disrespecting the narrative of his recovery or non-physical damage after banner made a free fall from Incredible Hulk and Thor Ragnarok. Permanent FOR NOW. But NOT IN ALL ETERNITY. That's how I see Hulk's arm injury. Regarding Clint, Age Of Ultron for me was his feature film. It shows that while he's not an enhanced, he's somewhat served as a glue of the team also he gave Wanda a sort of tap in the back. Did you think Wanda will still be a full-fledged member if she didn't hear those words from Clint while battling Ultron's drones. Clint Barton also reminded the team in a way that there'll come a time they'll settle down, have simple life and a family. They can't be doing the avenging forever. In the comics, yes. But not in MCU. Spoiler Iron Man marrying Pepper and having Morgan. Thor settled in New Asgard in Norway with last survivors of his people. Captain America, can't escape his own timeline going back and settled with Peggy. Hawkeye retiring. Black Widow offered herself to preserve her remaining family. It's a passing of torch of some sort Endgame has been. Expect if there will be a new team, it'll be the New Avengers. Being Spider-Man, Hulk, Thor & Black Panther as it's cornerstone while Ant-Man, Wasp, Bucky and Falcon supporting them.
Well, I would think it had to be more than the last second before impact, if we would talk in the real world because that kind of a cradle would need some kind of momentum But hey it’s a film what are you going to do agent Ross?
