Those have been there for a while. I imagine they'll stay until the discounts get better. The other club figures did sell out since they only had one I believe. Who knows, they might have more stashed away. *Edit* Guess I was wrong about them staying online.
Oh ok, didn't see them before. I got them last time but hopefully they'll hit a price someone wants them for.
I almost want that toxitron again. But at the same time, I don’t. I’m already tempted to sell Grand Scourge. Don’t need more of that mold.
I'm holding out for something good like some other subscription figures or older Botcon stuff. But that's a stretch as is.
Betting some of these are going to "sell out" and then pop back up later inflated as they try to fish for maximum aftermarket money.
If you sell Grand Scourge, let me know. I've been looking for him for a while. But back on topic, good to know the sale is starting. Missed out on Zaptrap the first time so may grab him this time. Otherwise I got everything else I wanted during their TFCC sale.
Well, that was quick. You may have said "hell no" but someone else said hell yeah. It does seem each individual figure goes for about $100 or maybe more on eBay, so $200 for a set isn't so bad. Why do you put quotes? They started the gradual clearance, so the idea of them taking items down just to relist with a larger discount doesn't make sense. If that was the goal, just list on eBay and call it a day.
I've got this figure, but out of curiosity...what did was the price on that re-listing? I missed it. If they're going to be trickling stuff back out again, wouldn't mind keeping an eye peeled for a few 4.0 figures I'm missing. *ears perk*
There's a few Joe items I'm keeping an eye on but the prices will need to hit retail level before I pull the trigger. And if it sells out prior to that, no big loss.
Meaning that an artificial show of interest might make buyers with panicked wallets spend more than they normally would because of the perceived rarity, despite the fact that these things don't even hit THAT price on ebay.
I hear that, it's a little conspiracy theory-ish, but then they'd be unloading a lot more product by this point. One could say wait and wait, but if they're closing for good, they either sell or they can put it on eBay themselves. I don't believe this is anything sinister going on.
Since this is one of the last TFCC threads, do any of you know if the magazines still go for decent money? I found a ton that are still attached to the Master Collector newspaper that I have and don't want. I know a few issues of the magazine were going for 10-15 or more per issue awhile ago, but not sure if they still are. Since none of their fiction was ever collected into trade (except the first year, I think) it's the only way to read that stuff now.
The first 24 issues were collected I'm sure. I know I got Volumes 1 to 3, but 4 was only available with a damaged cover, which put me off it. I tried to find the issues I'm missing, but nobody else seemed to have them, at that time the Club was still going and each older issue was worth about $5.
I haven't seen them go for decent money, maybe the typical cost for comic or magazine at the newsstand. There were a few trades put out by FunPub. I remember passing on them because they were expensive to begin with and I don't believe there were any extras in the trades. You could always post in the Wanted Items forum and see if anyone has them available.
I like how expensive their garage sale items are. A posterboard sign for 200 bucks? I don't think they can give those away for free.
Well I'd say the logic is to try to sell them at these super high prices and great if they can, if they can't, never mind or maybe they'll sell them at 90% discount where it now looks like a deal. Only issue I have with them selling these signs is it's making it tough to see things I might actually be interested in. Not that I'm expecting much, I bought most of what I wanted in the last sale.
Hello Former Club Members! Because of the response and shipping demands, we won't be making a price reduction this week. It will be toward the end of next week before we can do this. There are 37 more items that have now run out. If you are waiting for any of the past FSS items to go lower, they will not last long. Many are sold out so don't wait. The remaining item's quantities are very low. Only 3 of the remaining FSS figures (18 different figures) have a stock status of more than 60. If you are waiting on the Final Twelve to go lower, there are a good number and they will make it to the 40% off level. Thanks for your patience! Brian
