Update 08/06/2020: Building instructions and parts list available for purchase!

I finally took the time to prepare the above (digitizing this creation using stud.io app to generate the building instructions). If you guys are interested to buy 'em, please click on the link below (rebrickable.com is a lego marketplace offering lego instructions for sale)

LEGO MOC-44277 Transformer RMS Titanic Ship aka Titanicus (Creator > Mecha 2019) | Rebrickable - Build with LEGO

    ======================

As the title suggest, Titanicus transforms into RMS Titanic ,the tragic ship that sank more than 100 years ago. The length:width ratio of the ship is about 10:1 ... so I've decided to use a LEGO scale of 38 :4 studs to build this.

Actually I really enjoyed "sculpting" the front and rear hull of the ship. They took me many iterations before I am finally satisfied. One man's (lego) flower is another man's propeller I'd say!

One of the final additions to the ship were the masts at the front and back. This required me to redesign the robot arms to accomodate these masts.

    STORY TIME!

How's the Ice-breaker mode? Looks pretty cool eh despite being an "after-thought".

Since the ship is only 4-studs wide... and 2 studs were allocated to form the hull/side panels... I'm left with 2-studs thickness to work with when it comes to designing the inner core /structure of the robot mode. Reinforcing the core requires me to slide a Technic axle inside the core as a backbone (think Kebab).

*Ship funnels played important roles in padding up the hollowness of the shoulder. 2 of them helps to hold the back kibble in place ,preventing it from drooping.

*funny though . Earlier in this project, I started building the funnels short and stumpy coz they kept getting in the way during transformation. After I redesign the transformation method, those funnels become helpful.

LEGO's really isn't my thing but the engineering to put this together is impressive. Well done.

    This is really cool!!

May I respectfully challenge you to build the other two and make a Rail Racer style combiner?

Thanks! I'm working on a sub right now with similar transformation to Titanicus. I'll put Yamato to my to-build list this year alongside Arcee and Cybertronian bumbleBee

Actually I'd thought of making one lone trainbot as a proof of concept after this to follow similar transformation with Titanicus .

Railracer is too much for my brain to take right now since all 3 members of Railracer demanded 3 unique transformation style. *sweats*

However... I found a 5 or 6 bot combiner is easier to build than 3-bot combiner due to distinct mass allocation (one bot become whole limb) , and common transformation style in most of the members.

Perhaps you might see a LEGO Raiden instead from me sometime this year. :)

Love it! But I think if it transformed to escape the ice, it still would have killed a ton of people.

Ok folks.... my creation here is finally in the wild aka at the stores. It has the honor of being discovered by emgo316 (video below)

He got it off Amazon.. so I guess that's all I need to know. If you guys wanna purchase a set, go to amazon and search for "jojo&peach titanic".

note: I'm NOT affliated to parties above. But if my designs sell well enough, you might see more of them on the shelves.

Yeah I saw Emgo's video on my YT subcription feed and I was like "that's look very familiar..." and I went and found it on Amazon and I was like "$29CDN only!? In the cart it goes!" But before I actually place the order (I have no Prime, so I need to buy something else to get free shipping) I came back to this thread and saw your latest post and I was like "What the hell? Are you saying you're not getting a cut of the profit?" Oh hell no, I'm holding off on my purchase until I get some clarification...

Also, why not add a poll to your threads to gauge interests to commercialise your sets?
