Sorry, I know the conversation moved on, but this is the only chance I've had to be on since my last visit, so...

I highly recommend O&P. Nice quality, right scale, very accurate in all modes and he's a full matte finish like OP here. Plus, it's crazy affordable.

Right there with you. I could never buy a toy with the intention of opening it, playing with it, and then selling it off later. It'd feel like I was playing with someone else's toy. And I'd feel compelled to sell it for at least 20% less than I paid for it, since it's used now, and by that point it's not worth the trouble of listing it, packing it up, and shipping it.

I am with you on this. And I will add that I can’t resolve to sell one of my figures because it has a special value to my eye.

Due to lack of space (I have 2 detolfs and nothing else), this is literally how my collection has worked for the last 4 years. I sell to buy. I couldn't possibly have experienced any new toys in that time without doing that. And I always break even overall, so it's always worth it. Although I do sell on FB groups, so no eBay fees and rarely any PP fees.
I couldn't have owned TE-01 without Leonidas funding him.

That's the story of my life. Same here. I couldn't have owned TE -01 had it not been for the fact that I sold my mp-10...

Same for me, it is a pity.
Anyone else want to share their experience?

Pretty much yeah. But it’d be cool if I could at least try someone else’s figure that I’m hesitant on if I’m not sure. I think this is why review sample people get the best range.

Mine looks fine - no issues with paint or plastic despite the screwdriver floating around in the bag... Mine was packed with second release if that makes a difference.

Mine also have been packed with the 2nd release... No paint issues but the diamond on the forehead has somewhat rough edges. Lucky you that have no defects at all! Could you post some pics? I'm just curious :)

I’m on holiday until Friday (Centre Parcs for a week before our baby lands)but I’ve posted a few hi-res pics in this thread, and I’ll try to remember to post some close-ups when I get back.

I've been known to buy things and sell inside a week because I don't like 'em. Did that with Koot. It's cool, it means I get to try things out.

I have a co-worker who's also into the MP scene so we always bring our new acquisitions in to show off to each other and to help each other decide if we want to buy things. It's good times.

This is the part that blows my mind. I just can't wrap my head around why anybody would be willing to pay full price for your used toys. Well I mean not yours in particular - I'm sure you take good care of them - but anybody's. I get selling off old stuff to make room for and to finance new stuff but breaking even just doesn't make sense to me. It's like, why buy a used toy for the same price as a new one when you could just buy a new one?

So I'm curious, have there been any QC reports of this guy other than paint scratches on the new head? I've had zero problems with mine. o_O

I dinged up one of the ear antennas unfortunately. That was due to my own mishandling though.

Zero problem on my V1 and V2 too.

They can be put back in shape pretty easily!

Because most mp stuff sells out and reissues are random. There's plenty of stuff that you could make a nice profit on even second hand.

One guy had his V1 head come off during transformation and needed a replacement. Other than that, I don't think there was any other QC complaints in this thread other than the scuffing of the V2 head. QC seems to be pretty good on this one.

No QC complaints on mine. If I have to split hair the new head could be a little better executed :)
