Some think that the time travel shenanigans of Avengers: Endgame could serve as a good setup for Kang the Conqueror.

    Thoughts?

That would be an interesting villain to introduce at this point. I could see him coming back in time because something they did upset the time stream... usually the case actually. Man... who would you cast as Kang? I could see Michael Fassbender in the role, but I'm kind of hoping they cast him as Doom instead.

Guardians of the Galaxy Star Karen Gillan Wants to Direct MCU Film

"I keep asking [Marvel Studios president] Kevin Feige when that's going to be. I'm still waiting." Gillan admitted on Variety's The Big Ticket podcast.

That being said, she also clarified she "wouldn't just do any film." "I think it would need to be one where I had a strong feeling that I was the best person for the job," Gillan explained. "Obviously, that's not every movie that comes your way."

From this article: ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Is Basically ‘Avengers: Endgame 2’

Could it be that "Spider-Man: Far From Home" lays the foundation that brings the X-Men and Fantastic Four to the MCU?

so i'm just gonna state it here and now that i don't buy the "multiverse" angle. i know people hear that and are clamoring for more 'into the spiderverse' stuff but....are you forgetting it's mysterio here? the guy is all about illusions lies and deceptions. i hear multiverse coming from him and i think bullshit. the theme of the current trailer is "the world needs an iron man" mysterio is trying to fill that role for personal gain. hydro man and molten man are his creations. he's putting on a huge spectacle to play hero. the final act is going to come around that it's all a lie and he's the final battle. it's syndrome. it's brother's grimm.

he's using the term multiverse because after shit like aliens, infinity stones, time travel, and quantum realms multiverse just doesn't sound crazy anymore.

It's possible that the whole multiverse thing is real but Mysterio's just taking advantage of the discovery and make himself look good.

Doesn't prove anything, but Mysterio was an invader from an alternate universe in the ultimate comics.

Ah. So that’s where this could be coming from...

Looks like another Ultimate Universe influence strikes again.

So it’s either this, or he’s lying. I feel he’s lying, but at the same time idk how Nick Fury would believe him so easily. Unless he suspects something

I remember reading about a casting they did. Numan Acar. It was rumored he'd be playing Chameleon. If that's the case I can totally see the Nick Fury we see in Far From Home simply being Chameleon working with Mysterio.

Mysterio is definitely lying. The fact that it's even a debate is why it's a good lie.

If this what we're doing now, what if Avengers Infinity War had an Anime Opening?

I could buy the Multiverse angle due to what Captain America did in Endgame. But Mysterio's an ally? Hell no.

Maybe for us comic fans. But for casual movie goers, they don't know him like we do. I'm seeing Beck pulling off a Syndrome like in Incredibles.

As for Chameleon being Fury, I don't know Chameleon's skill set extent.
To be able for Chameleon to contact Peter Parker like Fury does on his Avengers? I'd say Chamleon is Maria Hill.

Or Chameleon manage to trap Fury somewhere and got his personal top secret files and uses it with Beck to fool Peter.

    Ok. I went some Wiki-digging.
Chameleon's skill were most of tech-aided in terms of disguises.
And at one point in a cartoon series, he impersonated Nick Fury.

    My goodness.
