He did copy it based on the MP44 line art. Oku himself confirmed it. Your enthusiasm is appreciated but your bias is definitely showing. And why do you have to bring their shit over here to get a reaction? Just leave it be.

 

If you think you'll be happier with MP-44, I'd stick with him and just wait it out a bit longer. TE-01 is very good however, be it v1 or v2. I personally think he looks better (much cleaner, and less panely, especially from the back). I think no matter what choice you end up making, you'll be happy with it.

Basing a sculpt on line art is hardly stealing a copy, and in all fairness, Iron star had different scales of heads he was trying out until he did a 3rd sculpt and got it right. As far as my bias, there is a certain amount, however it isn't to the TE01, no its more a bias towards fairness, and how its fine and dandy to go one page after page demeaning TE01 and particularly those of us who support, bought it, and make fun or attack our celebration of it, while I sit quietly reading thru it, as yes even tho I got TE01 I still read up and keep up on MP44 because I'm interested in it and yes I'll most likely pass but will get the inevitable cheaper KO, but the main issue is the hypocrisy and in this forum I point out some things about MP44, which is what occurs frequently in the official thread about TE01, and somehow Its the worst thing anyone could have done and brought up. As for bringing that shit here to get a reaction? No, I brought a link to give an example of what I have compalined about a few pages back, and to also voice my God given right to verbally protest how I feel about the insinuations about Ironstar and his fabulous work on the new head sculpt. I disagreed with that particular thread conversation. I sit silently over in the official MP44 thread, but after awhile, it is a bit much, and I spoke up. But rather then create a ruckus, it was more appropriate to call this out here.

I do not regret my position, or my earlier post on those grounds, and I will not apologize for speaking up. There's a definite lack of fairness in all of this. It's not good to allow one group free reign, and yet patrol the heck out of the other group with criticisms of the Offical Product.

They'll say what they want to say there about the 3P stuff as much as people here will say what they want about MP44. As somebody has pointed out already, posts of opposing views are still up there as well as here. MP44 is being bashed here as well and it doesn't get erased. Does that quench your thirst for fairness? Or do you have a different idea of what's "fair?" Some points against TE01 are valid much like some against MP44. Just enjoy your TE01 and digibashes you do. No need to bring their shit here and vise versa.

Another hoax from you. Literally one guy wondered if it was stolen. It's based on the context that MP43 did get stolen before release date, confirmed by photo and which showed a MP44 roller sitting in the background, one would assume other parts could have been taken as well.

Exactly the right attitude it shouldn't matter whether you buy official, ko or 3p all that should matter is your happy with what you have bought

 

my point was that there are examples of such discussions, whether in context or not there in the Official thread, which if done in reverse, if MP44 is also discussed in that manner, and more importantly those buyers, that there's a clear bias and MP44 supporters can take shots after shots, page per page, but if TE01 supporters make the slightest critique of MP44 in the TE01 forum, they get chastised for it. That's not a hoax @oku , that is fact. anyone watching the MP44 thread will see it come back often. Some of us in this TE01 thread have had dust ups for taking shots at MP44. I'm not the only one who has noticed this imbalance. MP43 and roller has nothing to do with TE01 and the sculpt by Ironstar. TE didn't even release a roller or a trailer. It doesn't matter anyways the details on it because the implication is that the TE01 head sculpt is a ripoff. That is not the case, it is a good job, using source material, there is a difference. Taking the MP44 head and straight creating a KO mold would be a valid criticism, but we know it wasn't done that way. Again the link to the discussion was an example, but not the point. The point being the unequal treatment and tolerance of criticism between threads and forums.

I don't want to fight. I said my piece earlier about it in my rant. But I just wanted to clarify my position, because your post about my post in bold needed clarification so you understand what I am actually complaining about.

I'm not berating competition or striving to be the best. After all, it's from that that we're in such a good place regarding the figure options available to us today.

Just makes me laugh the way folk go off at one another over it when that fight for superiority is being fought by others, creates that bounty and regardless of who you bought/are going to buy, we're the ones who win.
