    RIP Peter Mayhew. I always hear that he was one of the nicest actors to meet at conventions. I’ve always loved Chewbacca. I even have an 18 inch Chewbacca figure strapped into the backseat of my Subaru Crosstrek (so Chewie is literally my co-pilot like all those shirts say). I know he’s been in poor health for a long time now. At least he’s no longer in any pain.

    My heart aches to hear this news. I was lucky enough to meet him at Celebration 3. He was a very kind person and had a warming smile, very welcoming and seemed to be genuinely happy to be there. It's a shame to get old and see icons that you grew up with and cherish pass away like this, but seems fitting to use the quotes, "No one's ever really gone." and "Rejoice for those who transform into the Force. Mourn them, do not. Miss them, do not." The last one is a little harder than the prior.... Rest good Sir, you've more than earned it.

    Such sad news. Chewbacca has always been one of the icons of Star Wars to me... may he live on as we speak tribute to the man who portrayed him. R.I.P. Mr. Mayhew
