Thank you for the picture. Hate to see paint chips on such a expensive figure.

 

First that I’ve heard about this. What did they say? Mine chipped from the bump on the inside of the chrome beak.

 

IIRC, GP will release a replacement head which will not be scratched or chipped easily.

 

I'm jelly of everyone with these bots... I'll probably never end up owning em cause they are too good to go on sale at any point and are out of my price range as it is. Cheers to you guys who own these amazing figures!! (gosh swoop looks good...)

I noticed a red paint flake on the styrofoam during unpacking (thinking it was factory residue) and only noticed the chip on the head after 1 round of transformation. Because of where the chipping is, I don't think transforming would have caused it in my case.

I messaged ShowZ Store about it and got the reply that a non-painted head will be shipped out with their Grimlock. I also messaged Gigapower and they put me on a parts request list (which I assume they will ship out a replacement like for their Guttur hip). It's interesting I got 2 different responses.

 

I've got some on eBay and in the sales thread. It'd be pretty strange if the Metallic didn't come with the same pre order bonus. It hasn't happened before has it?

 

Don't think that's been an issue before, the lights must be included surely

 

I finally received my blue chrome swoop after 37 days from ShowZ.Store and the package looked like this. WTF. The figure is fine but the box is a lost cause.

 

What do you mean? What’s wrong with that box? Did you buy this or just find it floating out in the ocean somewhere? That’s crazy. Glad the figure is ok.

 

Wow! Who did you purchase that from? I want to make sure I never send them any of my money like throughout time NEVER.

 

I purchased it from ShowZ.Store. I have purchased many of figures from them and this has never happened until now. I will still purchase from them in the future even though this happened. There is now way to know when this package got wet. Locally, we have had rainstorms every day this week. So it is anyones guess.

The flight stand base is way too big to fit into my display. Also too tall.

 

You and the other guy that got wet boxes might still wanna consider getting replacements. Even though the figures are technically fine right now, you should check the electronics and look out for rust.

 

That looks like some cargo that could've been salvaged on the movie Castaway. But I'd second getting some batteries and checking the electrics

 

Hope they provide the non-painted head!

 

Have the red metallic versions started to ship from Showz for anyone? Curious. Waiting for mine.

 

Does GigaPower have a history of issuing V2's? I can't remember that being the case with the other 3 to date? I'd like to buy the chrome one, but the paint chipping pictures I've seen are starting to worry me...

 

Not really V2's. Just reissues. Guttur got a reissue with fixed hips and updated chrome.
