Yeah, the original head comes off easily...just unscrew it and take it apart. The Shapeways head is held together by friction, which is pretty substantial once you paint it. I was thinking about getting another one of these and painting it as Twincast or as Soundwave because this is basically a downscaled MP Soundwave...I would just need to figure out the crotch area....leaning toward Twincast though...it was pretty easy to disassemble to paint...my paint skills are just garbage.
    carry on...

I have soundmixer but after seeing the shapeways head I’m going to pick this guy. Maybe turn one of them into twincast colors.

Idk, I had them both at the same time and decided to keep the MS over the UT. Niether is really a great figure imo. Unique toys is better in many ways but I feel MS is more fun and poseble in robot mode. Definitely has his own set of issues though being just a downsized MP Soundwave with abusive use of diecast and poor joints.

Under the previous(and probably the current) CHUG scale, that photo is about right. Sound mixer fits in, probably a smidge better.

I agree he does fit better, his alt mode and transformation are much better too. The best way I can put it is Soundmixer feels "stiff" he never really looked dynamic in any pose to me. Buster is a straight up POS, his joints suck, alt mode is orange Soundwave, and his color palette is ridiculous. Man he can strike a pose though!

Yeah, I stand corrected. Of course, I was talking about UT Soundmixer (not Buster). But the only "recent" deluxe I had was Animated Rodimus, and that was a minimal difference. (Bought Triggerhappy earlier this week and was shocked how small that one was.)

Also, I didn't say he was the same size as a deluxe, I said I consider UT Soundmixer to be a deluxe. This not so much because of his size, but more because of his lithe figure. Buster is much more wide, but Soundmixer is a very slim figure.

Still, sizewise he's indeed closer to a voyager.

That said, Siege Soundwave is head shorter than Buster/Soundmixer and those are a head shorter than previous voyagers. So the final conclusion remains: Siege Soundwave is pretty small for a voyager class figure.

I regret not buying one, but I got UT Soundmixer so I'll live.
