Surly and muscular is not how I'd describe Bleez, she is skeleton winged succubus basically. Also apart from GL TAS she had no character at all, as far as I know in the comics Red Lanterns are animalistic and do not speak, save for Atrocitus. The description rather makes me think of Stompa of the Female Furies, or Mongul's sister (what was her name?)

Based on that description, I'm also going to place Mongal on the top of my list of guesses. She seems to be getting some use in that area lately in media (Batman Brave and The Bold, DC Super Hero Girls, ect). On a side note, I was never a fan of how she was killed in the pre-52 Green Lantern comics just to make her brother seem more badass. Glad her recent appearance in Morrison's "The Green Lantern" seems to suggest the reboot changed that.

It’s James Gunn. He took a team consisting of semi-obscure heroes, two of which were a plant and a racoon and turned them into international pop culture icons.
If they established that Deadshot managed to work his way to spend more time with his daughter off-screen, I'd be fine with him sitting this out. I guess that's a benefit of something with a rotating crew like The Squad.
