Been a long time since I posted on here. Not done any customs for some years now. Been recently working on trypticon however. Will be done in the next few days hopefully.
Cool! I'm in the process of painting mine too. Yours has so much detail though. Did you mask off and airbrush the other painted section or use a paintbrush?
I use a paint brush. Never bothered with an air brush. Tried it but couldn't get the hang of it. The figure has so much detail! I've done a lot but not all of it.
Gotcha. I'm still working on the leg. Hope you dont mind if I reach out to you regarding taking him apart. Here's what I got so far.
Thanks guys for the comments. See. Your air brushed one looks neat. I was unsure on if the amount of detail would be too much. That's why I didn't do all of it. Yours looks great with what little is done to the details. Mostly just took the screws out. I left the legs whole apart from the orange see through part and the joint for connecting to the body. The body I used a hammer and screwdriver to hit out the big push pin holding the arm section in. I dremmeled out any of the rub points too
Thanks for sharing your pics. I have a Trypticon in need to paint in the future as well. This will help tremendously!
Great color choices, and paint scheme. I always love seeing how other people imagine up this figure. How did you paint the big orange piece on the hip?
Thanks! The orange piece has just been sprayed with white primer on the inside. The effect it has is because of the different thickness of the plastic surrounding the detail!
