Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky definitely has some of the best with tracks like these Do Your Best, As Always! - Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time & Darkness Music Extended Time Gear - Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time & Darkness Music Extended On the Beach at Dusk - Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time & Darkness Music Extended
In conjuncture with my previous comment, i have decided to just post the entire 6hr 20m full Explorers of Sky ost
Super Meat Boy, Undertale, Deltarune, Ori and the blind forest, Shantae, Hollow Knight, Bionicle Heroes, Dragon ball Z Budokai trilogy (before the HD remakes), Halo, Legend of Zelda, and most likely tons more than I can remember.
That song is so delightfully cheesy. Completely unlike anything else you hear in the whole SC series. A few years ago I happened upon a "misheard lyrics" video of this song, which I found HILARIOUS because the singer's thick Japanese accent actually does make some of the English lyrics almost indecipherable. Now I can't even listen to this song without hearing these "misheard" lyrics And while we're talking about PS1 opening songs... "If You Still Believe" from the Legend of Dragoon. Great song, especially considering at that time, it still wasn't standard practice for RPGs to have a studio-quality theme song (IIRC, FFVIII started the trend with "Eyes On Me", and that game only came out a few months before Legend of Dragoon).
The J-Idol Pop inspired FFX2 soundtrack is still a fave of mine. "What Can I Do For You?" and "1000 Words" are particularly stunning. I dare anyone to not be moved by the latter song in context with the storyline.
How the hell did I forget the magnificence that is Okami's soundtrack? There is not a single bad or even boring tune in that game.
Speaking of video game OSTs, I've been watching this channel recently that I bumped into while my brother showed me the entire Streets of Rage series OST is basically ripped off from other music. Oddly Familiar (Official Series Playlist) - YouTube
Some good ones: Diablo 1 & 2, Starcraft, Age of Kings, Age of Mythology, Rome Total War, and various music from WoW.
