Gamora’s was overall sadder, though it was really hard seeing two friends fight for the other’s life.

Iron Man 100%. Logan’s was sad as hell, but IM is such an important milestone that it’ll probably linger over the MCU for years to come.

Both moments were very touching for each character for sure.
Tony got closure with his dad one final time, and Thor’s convo with his mother helped put him back on track. Thor’s moment though really got to me because my mom became irreversibly sick (about a decade ago coincidentally), and I would be exactly like him was if I got the chance to talk to the old her one more time.

i actually really didn’t like Clint and Natasha’s fight scene during this. While I understand it and the dynamic, i felt it totally took me out of the sacrifice she had to make. I feel it would have been better if Natasha told Clint she had to do it so he could be with his family again, an then said Clint was hers and she wants to do it for him. Even if it was while he was being electrocuted on the ground and incapable of stopping her.

Dunno, not a huge problem or anything, just something didn’t sit well with me.

    So when Cap picked up...

-Mjolnir, did anybody thought his fight with Thanos would've ended faster if he copied Thor fighting Loki on the Bifrost bridge in the first Thor film, by knocking down Thanos and putting the hammer on top of him?
It would make a very good HISHE video. :lol

Saw it today. Lots of awesome moments, good funny moments not overdone ("What's flowing through my veins?" "Cheese Wiz?"), And a lot of touching and memorable scenes.

    But it wasn't that great.
It really felt clunky and wasn't able to hold the viewer as well as some of the other shows. Not that it wasn't good and a decent wrap up to the decade, but it somewhat left me feeling less satisfied than happy with the ending.

I'll buy it on DVD and will most likely enjoy it more than I did in the theater.

    A few questions:
-Did Gamora get "snapped" with the rest of Thanos' forces since no one but Nebula knew she turned sides?
-What happened to Loki? Was his one of the deaths that couldn't be reversed?
-Who was the kid in the back row of the funeral?
-Was there a post credit scene? We didn't stick around due to the screaming need for a bathroom break.

Just got back and I'm glad nothing was spoiled for me, it will be hard for any movie besides maybe Toy Story or Pokemon to topple this as my all time favorite movie of 2019. And it even managed to dethrone Ant Man & the Wasp as my all time favorite MCU movie.

    Now onto the spoilers...
I love the use of the characters in this movie, it really reminds you how far we've come. Like I just want to take a minute to ADORE the fact they got Korg back, I love Korg! So happy to see he survived the snap and take part in the final battle (more on that later).

I liked the time travel, it was a bit convoluted but I love the flashbacks to the MCU like it made Dark World a whole lot better then it actually is!

That final battle against 2014 Thanos had me in tears it was so amazing and so beautiful, it was on Lord of the Rings levels of amazing and is easily my favorite moment from the MCU. Jaw on the floor and it truly reminded me why I love the MCU and why I love Marvel. Every character had a time to shine from those that survived (who had the whole movie to do that) and to those that didn't and boy was there a lot of people from Valkeryie (all right finally more Valkeryie!) to Wasp (yay so happy to see her team up with the Avengers) to all the Wakandans (Wakanda Forever!) and Sorcerers. It was like Smash Bros level everyone is here and I couldn't of asked for anything more or less. Especially my favorite Avenger, Scarlet Witch, got a moment to shine kicking Thanos' ass like you go girl and I just love how you had all the female Avengers teaming up like I'll take an A-Force movie now thank you. Also I loved Spider Man during that final battle. We cheered and clapped in joy and amazement when freaking Captain America picked up Mjolnir (he is worthy! he is worthy!) Hell I was squealing seeing Thor duel wield Mlonir and Stormbreaker like what a badass!

    Of course while I had tears of joy I also had tears of sadness like at Black Widow's death, hey Gamora's death was sad too but I love Black Widow and it sucked seeing her & Hawkeye fight over it. And then Iron Man's death, the whole theater was in tears and for good reason;

Speaking of Iron Man so happy to see he has a family now, his daughter was so freaking cute in this and hell even Pepper got to suit up! Sweet!

The movie really packs a punch right from the start too with Hawkeye and his family's dusting though like damn dude.

Honestly Ragnarok, Infinity War, & now Endgame perfected Thor & Hulk for me. Not the biggest fan of them till Ragnarok and I loved them here. I understand where Thor was coming from so his whole The Big Lebowski look didn't bother me and mostly it just had me laughing at how ridiculous he looked. And at the end getting to see him play off the Guardians again has me want to see him show up in future Guardians movies just to see him interact with Star Lord some more. Took me a while to get use to this version of Hulk but I came around and fell in love with it.

Honestly everyone was perfect and on point in this movie. I loved the whole bit about America's ass and cried when I got to see Captain America get his happy ending with Peggy. Ant Man was everything I love about him and Paul Rudd continues to deliver. Thought we could have gotten a bit more with War Machine, even looked like there might be something something between him & Captain Marvel.

Speaking of Captain Marvel, that was my biggest issue with this movie. After her solo flick I was so stocked to see more of her especially in Endgame. Sadly I feel she was underused and barely in it but I was happy with what little we did. Especially since I finally got to see her give Thanos what for even if he still came out on top.

Honestly if you love either Marvel, the MCU, or both you need to see this like right now. I am so excited to see what the future of the MCU will look like and who'll they bring in next.

    1. No, it’s left ambiguous and hence when Quill is looking for her it says “searching.” Presumably part of GOTG 3 will wrestle with this.
    2. It was a Loki from a different timeline, not our main timeline Loki — he’s still dead. Just like Gamora and Nat.
    3. The kid from Iron Man 3. Great detail on their part, made the scene even more sad.
    4. No post credit scene, just a cool montage of the OG 6 with their signatures between their credits. And then st the very end, there is a faint audio clip of the famous scene of Tony shaping the Mark 1 armor with the 3 clanks

There was a limited supply of Pym Particles, enough for one round-trip each. But once Scott got back from his trip, he was small, then giant, then normal, then small, then normal...

Cap took more vials than seems he needed to get him and Tony back, not sure if they ever had time for an exchange. Maybe you just need a lot less for ‘simple’ growing and shrinking than shrinking to subatomic size?

Come on - it's loki with an infinity gem - I wouldn't be surprised to see him jumping between timelines.
While tony was getting the Tesseract and talking to his dad, Steve distracted young Dr Pym and stole a bunch of his store of particles so they could get back with spares.

Pretty flimsy excuse imo. It's Thanos. I seriously doubt five years means squat in terms of his fighting ability.

It was just your typical nerf to move plot along. I mean, really...some things you just have to chalk up to "we've got to have this awesome scene" type of trope for that.

    Woah...

I won't make a very long post as I could go on and on about each scene and each character and I suspect everything's already been covered in this thread.

This movie was phenomenal. Not just my favourite MCU, or comic-book, but my new favourite movie of all time. 11 years and 21 prior movies and yet they brought it all together into a more than satisfying, epic and emotional ending.

Every character got their moment and they were all handled superbly. The original 6 were paid tribute to well and I loved how each of their arcs wound down.

Going through time allowed us to get a good, nice and meaningful look back at the history of the MCU and these characters. It was a great treat seeing Jarvis in the 1970 sequence - finally a tv character transitioned to the movies. Tony's meeting with Howard was of course touching and great as well.

The final battle was all kinds of epic. The grandest fight ever on cinema I'd reckon, and it will be a long time before it's topped. Carol was in it surprisingly little, but she was used well when she was and her absence meant she didn't take away from the original 6 in their final chapter. The film did a superb job of concluding the stories of the OGs while establishing the new faces.

Expectations were subverted so much. Thanos getting killed so early in the film was a total curve ball, as was 5 years later and Tony having a daughter.

I'd only cried around half a dozen times at pieces of fiction before last night. I cried 4 times in the movie:
    - I called Widow dying (because Clint was too obvious; it was a nice touch that they referenced this "It was meant to be me") but it still hit me. She was never the main character but she's been a major focus of so many of the films and been so developed that it was a tough blow. But, a fitting and moving end for her character.
    - I cried tears of joy when everyone came back to the battlefield for the final fight.
    - To skip ahead, I cried at the end with Steve. A melancholic goodbye to the First Avenger, but it was nice that he got his dance at last.
    - When I've cried at fiction, its been my eyes getting watery and some tears shedding. The end of AOS S5 is the only time I've bawled... until this movie. Tony's death and funeral are the saddest scenes in the whole MCU. It started with a billionaire playboy and ended with the Iron Man who made the ultimate sacrifice (damn it I'm getting emotional writing this). Tony's long been my favourite Marvel hero, RDJ became my favourite actor as he rose, and his portrayal of Tony is perfect - my favourite version of the character. Plus, he started it all. So it was ultimately a fitting finale that the end of the Infinity Saga was his death. What a moment.

Incredible journey that will never be topped. Make Mine Marvel.

I saw this yesterday afternoon and still don’t know how to feel about it. A lot of that probably has to do with it being the end of an era, of sorts, and the changes it brings to the MCU. I’m just in that post-movie funk, I guess. It was good...but I think Infinity War is the better movie at this point. That opinion might change after another viewing or two. The movie has a lot going on all at the same time and there is a lot to process. That being said, there are some very touching moments, and it does hit its peak powerfully. Time will tell what the future holds. But this is make-believe, after all, and anything can happen.

Keep in mind that by the end of the movie after Bruce undid the snappening and when Cap is returning all the stones and Mjolnir back, Hank Pym is now alive again (He is in the funeral scene remember). They can have him make more Pym particles for them to time travel again. They only had a limited amount because Scott only had whatever thats left with him.

The stones only work in their own respective universes. He can’t use it to jump to an alternate universe, only anywhere in space in his own timeline. The Loki show will most likely be our main Loki but at different points in the past before he died

I can’t wait for an HD wallpaper of that. Fucking epic

Cap would have used these for his secret mission to be with Peggy, not to give to Scott.

Plus, in the lead-up scene, Scott says we have enough for two trial runs, then accidentally shrinks and grows, then says there's enough for one trial run.

with Hank revived he could easily make more. Rogers just took extra as a precaution because they didn't have a means to make more at the time.
