I agree this is a very poseable figure.

I don't think all Fans Toys articulation are the same. I've bought every Fans Toys figure since Sovereign except for Terminus Giganticus, plus most of the Dinos, and I'm pretty sure there's are some that are more and some that are less posable than TE-01.

Anyway, I know what you're saying: Fans Toys articulation = not that articulated. Which is fine. Not everyone is going to appreciate everything the same way. I was simply pointing out my point of view.

G1 Prime is more stoic than anything which good foot stances play into very nicely. One of my peeves with Striker Manus, despite all of his articulated glory, is that his feet have a hard time doing much with the lacking range on the upward toe tilts.

Could do with a bit of help from the group mind.

Is anybody able to give me a Pantone or CMYK colour code for the red and the blue on this figure?

Or at least a close match? Carrying on with a bit of customising and need this info for the next step.

getting pantone of an actual object is tricky and only as good as the calibration of the device used...you could have perfect cmyk or pantone in photoshop and a printer thats not calibrated perfecly and your colors wont match the object.
What kind of project are you planning?

I'm curious, how would you get those values and what would you do with them? Can you get acrylic or enamel paint mixed to match a value?

The easiest way to possibly find those values is take a raw photo of the figure. Next I would hold it next to the screen while you adjust the photo to match as close as you can to the toy. This is to compensate for monitor color calibration or lack of there of. Then I would make a couple squares sampled from the colors you want. Finally I would go through the swatch palette and find ones that match as close as you can to the colors you have sampled.

I had the same fears! But it's very simple. A single screw at the back of the head needs to be undone and then you slip off the front or back half of the head. You'll then need to slide the antennae off which are two separate pieces. Putting the new head is the same in reverse after you unscrew it, put the antennae in, then the two halves, and then screw shut. It is easier than it sounds.

Now that I have Element TE-01, I am debating on selling my Hasbro version of Optimus Prime either with or without the trailer. Anyone on here keeping their trailer for TE-01. And so yea, if anyone needs the Hasbro version he is up for grabs. I'll probably be listing him in my sales thread.

I plan on keeping MP10 and have him in truck mode hauling the trailer with TE in bot mode next to it. The trailer is currently hauled by XTB Huffer but time for him to move along. I have Badcube Huffer in bot mode.

That's a really spotty way to go about it, as calibration of the monitor is never perfect to real world color. A Pantone swatch book would be the best and easiest way to get an accurate read.

A swatch book is going to be too expensive for the average person unless they know someone with one laying around. But yes it would give a higher rate of accuracy. By adjusting the image on screen to be in sync with the object in hand they can get in a pretty close ball park. I have successfully printed publications at presses I had not previously used with a similar method.

Many thanks to all you guys who replied. Thanks for the advice. Rhino, you’re absolutely right a pantone book would be the best, but they are insanely expensive (anybody on here who’s bought him and has a pantone book able to compare the colours?)

Honestly, the only thing I’m trying to do is colour match so I can print some circular vinyl decals to cover the metal pins on the legs and on the back of the truck cab. Colour reference for future use could be handy as well though. Failing anything else I’ll just keep going with trial and error by printing sample colour swatches.

If I crack the colours I’ll let everyone know.

You don't have to buy a Pantone book. Go someplace that has one. Most quick graphics and sign shops like FastSigns or Alpha Graphics have them on hand.

Cheers. I’ll check out the UK equivalent. Arizona might be a bit of a long walk. ;)
