Definitely worth the drive. I'm about an hour away myself and I like to make a run there at least a few times a year.

In addition, since people live nearby, I wanted to let you know that if you want a WFC Siege Starscream but haven't found one yet, I'm giving one away:

 

Anyone who lives around the Cincy or Dayton you might want to hit up the comic book shop in Kettering called Mavericks. It's been awhile, so I stopped by there after my wife took me to Cheese cake factory for my Birthday dinner and this place has everything from G1 Transformers to Botcon stuff! Pretty amazed how they expanded on buying and selling collectibles. Great selection on comics as well.

 

The Target next to Dayton Mall has several Siege Voyager class Megatrons, Siege Chromia and Siege Prowl, as well as the Studio Series Leader Class DOTM Megatron.

 

Tri-County Target has a case of Botbots Series 2 single packs...looks like 21 through 24 have been taken. Nothing else notable.

 

Walmart on West Pointe Plaza had 1 Siege Starscream and 1 Soundwave deep on the bottom shelf yesterday around 5:00 pm. About the only Transformers they had, those and some micro masters, that's all.

This sounds cool! However, I would be extra careful posting meetups/Tournament information in the sightings thread. Myself and several others did something like this a few years ago and got backlash like no other. That's why I stopped having meetups and get together of Transformers fans and collectors. Would I do it again? Oh yeah would love to have more meetups since the weather is getting better.

 

What on earth would people have to complain about? Because it isn’t a local store sighting per se? While I’m too far out of Dayton/Cinci to attend, I appreciate the local networking. People should lighten up.

 

@michaelbird I totally understand where you're coming from and why would people complain? especially about meeting others with the same hobby and or interest as others. However, people just love create issues and/or problems for others.

As this self business starter or entrepreneur said on Youtube, "Life is easy, people make it hard"

 

Walmart on Ferguson Road in Western Hills had a Siege Leader Galaxy Optimus. I nabbed it. Tons of SS Leaders Jetfire and Megatron and the newest wave of SS deluxes. Also had 1 Siege Soundwave and Starscream, but their boxes got kicked pretty good.

That is a very nice Walmart, BTW. I work nearby and went for the first time today, and man I will go back.

What do you think of the G2 Sideswipe repaint, Skywarp and Slamdance?

I hoping to see Sun Storm and Acid Storm hence the homage to the Tetra Jets from the G1 era cartoons?

Others are saying they want Detritus (repaint of Hound) and Metroshot (Repaint of Six Gun)

 

I have a thing for G2 Sideswipe and I expected at least a couple tetrajet repaints to come along...so those are fine with me. But, I have no connection to Detritus or Metroshot and wouldn't be terribly interested in them.

Tri-County Target is devoid of anything interesting.

 

I'm almost certain we're getting those eventually. We're likely getting Red Wing, remember. They've gotta space 'em out over the three years WFC will go on, though.

 

That's a good point. I'll be more careful about that!

Thanks to my good friend @atomD21 , we met up yesterday and to catch up collecting and other topics and he picked up Aimless and Pteraxadon, Scrapmetal, and Six Gun for me! I picked up for G1 Minibots Gears and Warpath in return. All in good fun and good times!! Thanks Adam!!!

 

Really not much out there now since I'm caught until July, which I assume is when the next wave or release will be?

I'm most excited for Skywarp. G2 Swideswipe is nice but would be best with a G1 logo. Slamdance is cool looking, howver I have no attachment to the character and already have Flywheels. I'm in love with the Siege Starscream mould so I'm really stoked for Thundercracker. Was planning to paint my own Skywarp if they didn't make him but glad I can get em all to match.   So excited for good, articulated, sleek Voyager sized classics seekers.
