Picked him up at retail today (a rarity!) but he's a great figure. If they'd attached the null rays on the middle section of his arm that would have allowed for some better poses but I love the little touches like the spring -loaded fillers in the legs and the way the nosecone splits to mimic the air intakes in bot mode.

I like it a lot - Siege is killing it with the designs so far, and initially I wasn't even going to bother with it.

Yeah, that's been commented on a lot in the thread and is totally true. The Siege Seeker Mold is a pretty reasonable stand in for the Colonial Viper.

Hasn't it been pretty-well established that that was a lie?

Hasbro customer service confirmed that there was no such running change adding a pin to the chestpiece.

I think the face is not very toon accurate. If I am not mistaken his face is a lot darker compared to the other seekers.

Plus they've shown images of Skywarp and Thundercracker with no pins so it's pretty clear that was a lie.

Yeah, I personally would have preferred they used grey or gunmetal as well, that's one of my few gripes w/ this guy...

All-in-all though, I think this is without a doubt the best version of Starscream we've ever gotten--I know it's not his classic F-15 mode, but articulation, size, detail, sculpt, are all 100% in my book, definite 10/10. As I mentioned in the Megatron thread, I picked up the Japanese release this weekend, and it seems to have considerably tighter joints that was has been reported about the American release, my copy's chest never pops off either.

Despite saying I wasn't going to buy this, I purchased this figure on a whim a week ago, and got to say, this is a great figure, aside from the chest panel. The only issue I have on my copy of the figure is that the null rays are a tad loose on the shoulder ports, but it doesn't matter to me cause I have Screamer hold them in his hands.

I don't mind too much, it means that I can swap heads with Thundercracker if I want him to be smirking. Only time outisde MP that Starscream had that effect was on the FOC toy, otherwise it has been painted silver.

Okay, just picked this guy up yesterday and I have to say, I'm very impressed here. Articulation is great, the transformation, even if he is a shellformer, is fun, and the tetrajet mode looks cool too.
Nitpicks, the lightpiping doesn't work as well as Soundwave's. Also I'm probably the only one that cares for this but his guns don't combine to form an even larger gun.

Does anyone know if the Dr Wu Vanguard null rays work with Siege Starscream?

I don't have the dr wu set but the old generations starscream null rays fit just a bit loose. I would imagine dr wu would be the same. My siege starscreams shouldeed seem to have a bit of a gap that may be causing the looseness so I have a go at tightening them.

Ok. I'll probably get them and then use the Seige rays as rifles for...I guess they'll work for the Datsun Bros/Barricade. Thanks for the info.
