There is a legitimate reason why they did this plot wise:

By right thor was the most qualified guy to wear the gauntlet - but because he was in no mental condition hulk did, keeping in mind this hulk is somewhat depowered compared to rage hulk. If thor had performed the un-snap, he might have been strong enough to retain the gauntlet (remember the stuff he endured for stormbringer) and I’d imagine infinity thor would have put away thanos handily and we wouldnt have need that spectacular final battle.

Edit: and since i see some enquire why the need for smart hulk - for this same reason. Cant have rage hulk in control of the gauntlet.

Agree with all of your “good stuff.” Disagree quite vehemently with your “ bad stuff” as follows:

-Pacing: The slower pacing of the first half of the movie is what makes it work dramatically and emotionally. Without it, the final battle wouldn’t have half of the impact. Moreover, they’ve earned the ability to tell an actual story and explore character, not merely throw bombast on the screen.

    - Captain Marvel: At its core, this is a film about the emotional and narrative arcs of the original Avengers. That’s why she plays a secondary role. Don’t worry, she’ll be more fleshed out in future films. I don’t get the “wooden” criticism at all. She’s done a great job in both movies, and I look forward to CM2.

    - The last comment: Again, don’t get it at all. It’s literally one minute of the movie, and it’s absolutely justified in the context of the movie and the franchise. All of those charaxters (PP aside) are formidable warriors, and the idea of underestimated heroes standing up against evil is literally at the core of Marvel. Also, just for one second, imagine you’re a woman/girl. You’ve seen rows of male superheroes in similar scenes all your life. Now you can see yourself. It’s a small moment for them, and they deserve it.

I explained the theory in a post back but it bears repeating:

yes they created divergent timelines because of what the time heist, timelines that did not necessarily merged back with main timeline (with exception of tesseract in the 70s)

So events from the avengers 1st movie has itsown timeline now with loki escaping. The aether in asgard might be the same (but im not sure how theyd reinfect thors GF - maybe they just gave the aether to asgard for safekeeping. I find the idea cap just returning the soul stone to red skull hella funny. Like, we’re done with it thx haha. Power stone too cuz now the gotg in that tineline plays out differently.

This could be the mcu’s way of introducing parellel earths.

No Spoilers - but I'm watching Iron Man right now, and my god the call backs and even the minor things pre Disney takeover are so evident.

Like what, things being more gritty? Cause I’ve heard that a lot in YouTube comments.

Well, it's been nice... but I guess someone had to inevitably come and ruin the fun.

Do you mean he had no growth before or after the takeover or that his growth was different?

She may not have actually appeared in it, but I feel like Agent Carter served pretty damn well as a "prequel" to Black Widow.

Well if the movies do go that way, or they aren't as good in the future this made a great bookend. I admit I thought that moment was a little cringy in how blatent it was but it didn't take away from the movie overall. My biggest issue with all the time travel.....
They couldn't have done a little montage of Thor getting into shape during the building of Time machine? They didn't need fat Thor the majority of the movie
But over all I enjoyed the movie. But it makes a great stopping point if you don't like the future movies.
